Do You Want To Build A Snowman?
“My sister-in-laws, back in the day, couldn’t have been prouder of their snowman creation. I’m sure theirs was the tallest in town, and it is obvious they used every scrap of snow they could find.”

Heads Up
“My Mother got a great deal on this family portrait, mainly because it wasn’t meant to be for a family THIS size. But we were all together, so she was determined to make it work.”

Blades Of Glory
“My younger brother in his ‘awkward yet fabulous’ phase. Please note the following:
1. Western-style shirt with Christmas-star-snowflake ornament….
2. One exposed skate (just to prove that you’re wearing skates?).
3. Indestructible plastic-frame glasses because, of course, the parents were worried about their child breaking the stylish/expensive ones.
4. Gold lamé fabric bringing out the most unsympathetic tones in the ginger kid’s skin and hair.”

Bring The Noise
“Photo of my husband and his friend who thought they were quite fashionable. It was the 90’s and alcohol may have been involved.”

Mistake On The Lake
“We shelled out to stay at this lovely lakeside resort in McCall, Idaho. The hope was to capture a scenic and memorable photo in front of the lake for our annual holiday/Christmas card. ‘Memorable’ is what we ended up with, as the ‘twouchebag’ (I say that in the most loving way) had a full on meltdown because his (a-hole) parents dared to suggest he recite a standard, ‘cheeeeeeze’ for the photo opp.”

Shining Star

Overfrown
“This is my kindergarten school picture. I was four, and apparently hated taking pictures. The arm you see on the left is my mother’s, to ensure I would stay put while they took the picture.”
