This family prefers to dress for both bed and a job interview.

The older man looks like a ghost….this picture is more creepy than anything!
This reminds me of Barneys Suit-jamas on How I Met Your Mother.
that maybe the scariest pic ive ever seen
Is this from an early Stephen King story? Somebody get to work on the screenplay, it might be really scarrrrry….
This picture creeps me out so much that I have to keep looking at the waterfall in the picture behind them so I can go to my “happy place.”
Looks like a still straight out of a David Lynch film.
I think we now know who it was that the people in the “Twilight Zone” photo were staring at on the other side of the room.
I think this is the tradition of posing with all the new Christmas gifts you got: pajamas, a bow tie, a hammer, new shoes, and a corpse…?
ANOTHER WINNER! DING DING DING!
And we have a winner!!
Based on the appearance of the gentleman on the right, I would caption this picture “Death Takes a Holiday.”
Death Takes a Nap?
How about “Death Sports Some Sassy New PJ’s”?
Ain’t no Panty Raid gonna happen durin’ this hear Puh-Jamma Party! No Sir!
These guys look like a family of vampires. Very pale.
That may explain the dress shoes with pajamas.
Why? Do vampire usually wear their dress shoes to bed?
Guy on the right looks just a little too pale and creepy and guy on the left, I can’t tell if he’s even old enough to be smoking. And I love the mini hammer. I initially thought this was Christmas pj’s and presents but there’s absolutely nothing in the picture that eludes to that. Either way, it makes me uncomfortable to look at.
PJ PARTY!!!! Woo Hoo!
Ward, Wally and the Beav?
Okay; grasping at straws here, but I offer this as an explanation for the tiny hammer: When is the one time of year it’s (in some families) customary to pose for pix in jammies? Christmas. Okay, we’ll work with the theory that it’s Christmas, and maybe the stuff by Ghost Grampa’s feet is even discarded wrapping paper.
Then, I’ll call your attention to an old Christmas custom (I believe English) of “crushing the pig” for luck. I’m not sure of the exact workings of this custom, but you use a little hammer and whack a candy–usually mint–pig. I’ll rest easier with this explanation for the tiny hammer.
And if it’s truly an English custom, and these jolly gents are indeed Brits, the shoes and the bow ties seem vaguely more suitable.
I thought the same as you – Christmas photo / Christmas tradition. Thanks for the hammer explanation – that one had me stumped …
Yes that is what I thought about the hammer also. My mom said when she was a little girl the children would get a big lump of candy (maybe they couldn’t afford a pig lol) and would break it up with a small hammer to share. She even found a little gift like that when I was young one year and wanted to start the tradition again but we didn’t find them after that.
we still do that. the Peppermint Pig
I didn’t know ghosts could be captured on film!
Won’t you come to our sleepover? It’ll be fun!
the kid in the middle almost appears to be “levitating” … I agree with everyone else who used the term “creepy”
More like they’re sleeping in style.
Nothing says “sweet dreams” like a *hack* *hack* *cough* *cough* good smoke before bed!
I just got sober after a midweek binge…thanks to ghost family!
I’m going to bet the guy on the left ended up setting fire to the house by falling asleep with that cigarette in his hand.
You sure know how to bring back my warm childhood memories….
The men of the family took the Boy Scout pledge of “Be Prepared” seriously and never hit the sack in less than dress shoes and boy ties.
Wait…is that guy on the left holding a cigarette? Doesn’t he know that smoking in bed can be dangerous? LOL
They sleep with bow ties? And Florsheim dress shoes? Who knew bedtime could be so formal!
While smoking their cigarette too! =-)
good lord. i will have nightmares tonight!
Three questions come to mind:
1. Is Jimmy wearing Doritos pajamas?
2. When did bow ties with your pajamas go out of style?
3. Are they in the back room of a Chinese restaurant?
Answers to your questions:
1. I don’t think so… It looks more like striped guitar picks… maybe.
2. When did they go IN style!
3. No, they are Feng Shui masters.
1. …maybe pieces peppermint bark?
2. Oh, it’s gonna now…
3. Have no idea…I agree with the comments that it’s Christmas time and they’re probably at home taking a picture after opening up presents.
Either way, great pic!
Wait…I think I get why he has that little hammer on his knee. He’s acting like he’s breaking off a piece of peppermint bark from his new PJ’s that he just got for Christmas. Hey…I’m trying here… 🙂
I love how they all have their sunday shoes on. The guy in back looks like a ghost, the middle guy is enjoying a smoke and the young master triangle print in front is wielding a wee hammer and sporting a bow tie. They’ll need more than pajamas to appear relaxed.
That seems creepy on so many levels. Bow tie?
Wow – I have never had pajamas with a built in bow tie!
This picture is all kinds of creepy!
and…is that a cigarette in the hand of the kid in the left? and what’s the kid in the middle holding? this picture is rather mysterious.
Is that kid holding a rock hammer? Is that a young Andy pre-Shawshank?
You hit the nail on the head.
Intergenerational Sleepover of the Damned!
The bowties and lace-up shoes and socks make it extra comfy.
Wow, ghost hunters would love this!
I thought the same thing!
Ha! – Me Too!
That’s just scary.
And now I won’t. Ever again…
um, but I won’t… not anymore…
Billy hasn’t earned his stripes.
The loafers and bowties are real classics.
A bow-tie with pajamas? what the……. ? Is this family that formal?
What’s with the hammer and the cigarette?
Love the shoes and jammies look!
Well, that family might sleep well, but I’m going to be having nightmares tonight.
Nothin’ says “A good night’s sleep!” like a bow tie.
Gaaak. Thanks, Roo!
1940’s PSA. “I’d rather fight than switch or Taste’s good like a cigarette should?”
Who wouldn’t sleep well in a plaid bow tie?
There is too much going on in this picture!! The old guy’s scary face, the little hammer, the cigarette, the bow tie, the shoes and socks!
Agreed! Its like one of those photos where you are supposed to “spot the ten out items that don’t belong in the picture.”
Both of the fellas in the back are smoking. The boy in front obviously needed to hold something in his hands. The bowtie is what gets me more than anything in the pic.
i think my main question is why the boy is holding a small hammer?
In these politically correct times, clearly the young lad’s cigarette has been photo-shopped out and replaced with the hammer…
LOL!!! too true.
