I really don’t think that is a cake made to look like a hamburger. It is too imperfect — slightly burned bun/pickles hanging out. That is a REAL hamburger. Looks delicious.
Meh, not awkward, cool! If and when I get married, chances are it’s going to be at the local animal shelter, with our new shelter dogs lying down at me and my husband’s feet while the unwilling priest conducts our ceremony. Ah, romance.
I’m going to bet that the cheeseburger really is a cake and the condiments were made from fondant and sugar paste…and as to the headpiece, I have seen headbands and hats decorated with those weird “feathers” in photos of gals at Ascot and onther English events – must be some kind of trend there….
Damn – I think you’re right, but I was having too much fun imagining all the guests taking a piece home, and the single girls putting their piece under their pillow for good luck!
I meant to say, if it was a cake, the creator would have made the cheese one large sheet of fondant, not many small ones. Everything, including the pickles and lettuce, would have been made to scale. That’s if the pastry chef were anal like me. LOL
Love her bold choice of headpiece. Love a bride brave enough to be herself and not be cookie cutter. Cake is in the same vien-very personalized. I like this one a lot and don’t find it awkward.
Tron guy…….noooooooooooo………It’s photos like these that make me snort loudly and spit my water all over my monitor in my cubicle at work. Everyone waits patiently for me to notify them of another new photo
I had to google tron guy myself. But we should really be talking about this photo because “tron guy” had his glory. So, what do you think that thing is on her head a peacock or something????
It’s made of, um, lettuce… Jus’ teasing, Ange! They’ve shown these on the food network. The marks on top of the bun are grill-grate marks from toasting it. This lady has proven to me she’ll be a really cool wife, too!!! Extra points if she got him a huge plate of onion rings with it….

I guess the wedding planner likes to simplifies things and lets people order by number.
“We’ll take the number 3 plan …. biggie sized.”
man, I would be soooo disappointed as a guest at this wedding, I love wedding cakes… NOT wedding burgers… eeeck.
Teri was so happy that she wanted to to give a sepcial wedding present to her man, Kevin “Big Mac” McDaniel.
And to secure the deal, she ordered a headpiece made of recycled sporks.
I really don’t think that is a cake made to look like a hamburger. It is too imperfect — slightly burned bun/pickles hanging out. That is a REAL hamburger. Looks delicious.
And you wonder why they make tuxedo pants adjustable! Oh and btw it takes a STRONG man to wear pink, especially at your wedding!
That’s one fun couple. I see whoopee cushions and fake dog poop in their future.
Not a regulation size burger
WIN!!!!!
I like burgers, this is a great burger, I hope it’s not a new hot burner out of the open
She’s cute, but how did an albino lobster end up in her head?
the tiny american flag on top is quite fitting.
What a fun alternative to a buffet – everyone gets a slice of giant burger. I hope the “cake” was a giant apple turnover.
I bet they registered for a hamburger phone…and got it!
Uh-oh! Looks like they HAD to get married – she had a hamburger bun in the oven…
In an interesting twist of fate, I’ve been planning to make a hamburger cake for my brother’s birthday all week now.
OMG, I don’t even what to know about the ‘special sauce’.
***Squirt!***
The headpiece and the thing (aka twigs and leaves) on his lapel are an interesting addition to the picture.
Is he clutching the sides of the upsized and supersized burger with both hands while balancing it one one knee and a prop?
Meh, not awkward, cool! If and when I get married, chances are it’s going to be at the local animal shelter, with our new shelter dogs lying down at me and my husband’s feet while the unwilling priest conducts our ceremony. Ah, romance.
I wonder if the wedding party wore fast food uniforms? Could the male “cake” topper be Jack himself?
I think they’re adorable, I love her feather fascinator, and I don’t find this awkward in the least.
Thanks A. I just learned a new word.
Maybe its a cheeseburger cake……like the ones they make on Ace of Cakes?
Say cheese!!! Now I’m hungry for FuddRucker’s or WhataBurger.
That is one happy man!
Don’t forget the 20 gallon Diet Coke.
Good answer!
the cheeseburger is nothing. Her hairpiece is so big they couldn’t even get it in the picture.
It’s Tron guy!
<– Wrong line. You want to be over there. <–
HAHAHA!!! Now that was funny!!
Ditto!
Now that’s a happy meal.
Even comes with a free toy on top!
Ha ha good one.
ha ha ha, snort, ha ha
Actually, pic should be entitled “Holy Burger F***!”
This reminds me when my Mum made me a fry-up cake for my 13th birthday, with bacon, eggs, sausages & chips made out of marzipan.
Is that an actual burger or one of those really elaborate (aka expensive) custom cakes?
I’m going to bet that the cheeseburger really is a cake and the condiments were made from fondant and sugar paste…and as to the headpiece, I have seen headbands and hats decorated with those weird “feathers” in photos of gals at Ascot and onther English events – must be some kind of trend there….
I also think that it’s cake … not a giant hamburger…
Damn – I think you’re right, but I was having too much fun imagining all the guests taking a piece home, and the single girls putting their piece under their pillow for good luck!
That doesn’t look like fondant, though. I’m betting it’s a real cheeseburger and it’s the grooms’ cake.
I meant to say, if it was a cake, the creator would have made the cheese one large sheet of fondant, not many small ones. Everything, including the pickles and lettuce, would have been made to scale. That’s if the pastry chef were anal like me. LOL
if it’s a cake, then the pastry chef made it look like pieces of the lettuce are falling off. it’s a real burger.
Love her bold choice of headpiece. Love a bride brave enough to be herself and not be cookie cutter. Cake is in the same vien-very personalized. I like this one a lot and don’t find it awkward.
Actually, that looks kind of good…but I’m hungry right now so don’t go by me!
I’m on Weight Watchers so something like that looks like heaven!
The couple that eats together stays together!
I like cheeseburgers better than cake. That’s not really awkward. It’s genius.
(Although it’s not awkward, thanks for putting up another photo so we don’t have to keep reading 100 comments that all say “It’s the tron guy!”)
Thank you Alan. I’m in my 40s and it was driving me mad that I didn’t even know who Tron guy was!
Even more, I don’t even care who the Tron guy is!
Same here, Carpool Mom. Same here.
I think she made him a very very happy man with that cheeseburger instead of a cake. I’m sure he definitely repayed her later that night!
This isn’t awkward, it’s sweet!
This could be called, “Cheese, hold the burger…”
um, what’s on her head?
Oh, no. Just don’t. And what IS that in her hair?
That’s gonna make for a gastronomical honeymoon!
HA!
HA HA HA yes…
yeah I see the giant hamburger….but my question is whats on her head?
That looks delicious AND better than wedding cake.
Alternate title: Hold the cheese.
Nice one.
But where’s the 25lbs of fries!!!!!!
Hold the pickles……
I think the bride’s headpiece might be the most awkward part of this picture… :-S
FIRST!!! Wish I would have had that at my wedding!!!
We tried pranking these vegetarian newlyweds, but they were SUCH good sports about it…
Hah!!
Fantastic!
What in hell did they make the lettuce from? And why do I care?
It’s an actual burger, with actual lettuce
Huh? It’s a giant burger, not a burger cake.
I’m going to take a wild guess and say…lettuce?
this gave me a chuckle.
A huge burger is gross. But so is a burger cake, but less gross, somehow.
where would one get bread like that?
I think her tiara might be made from recycled McFlurry spoons.
AWESOME – If I’d been eating a McFlurry (a personal fave) it would have come out my nose. WIN.
Now that’s funny! LOL!
Aaaahaaahahahhahaha…McFlurry spoons…hahahahahhahahaaa
Did they meet at McDonald’s or something? I wonder what that cake will taste like in a year from now on their first anniversary?
That looks delicious.
