Very cute and so totally 80s. They are a very attractive family and gotta love Dad’s tie hehe
I agree!
Not 80’s, definitely 90’s!
100% 1990s. I would estimate approximately… 1993.
90s and so very cute!
“I am not a chicken! Why does he keep calling me a chicken?”
Eighties Power Couple!
I am going to copy this pose for our family photo. Although, not sure how well the six-month-old will be able to peek from around the wall?
Duct tape?
^^^^
BAHAHA.
Who is it?……Don’t worry it’s just the photographer.
Perhaps what they have to hide is dad’s tie. Yikes!
The two boys are adorable, especially the one on the bottom.
Yea, and it’s so cute how his feet are completely in the wrong direction for effective peeking
clearly the photographer was just trying to minimize that amazing necktie.
Oh No…..Mom’s here. Hide!!
I don’t get why this one is “awkward.”
I don’t either.
It’s not. Just “cute.”
i wish my family photos were all like this… this one is adorable, specially the kids, they are so cute!
…if this isn’t a PR pic for a sitcom waiting to happen, I don’t know WHAT is!
The Mom would be played by Shelley Long.
I thought it was a “Moonlighting” spin off!!
Coming this fall to NBC: The Stalkers!
haha! i was just thinking that i was sure i’d seen the mom on Seinfeld!D
no,no,no- this is the same woman who dated MacGyver in every other episode for 5 years. They all had the big 90’s hair and tucked-in little waists and shoulder pads. This is a classic period piece. In another 50 years, it will be in the fashion section of the Smithonian.
Olly, olly, outs and freeeee!!
My “perfect” mother told me that I should be shouting “all that’s out can come in free.” Obviously the guy wearing the tie is still trying to hide. A present from the kids bought by mom?
It’s not “Olly olly oxen free”??
“all the outs in free!”
that’s what I’ve always heard
I thought it was “olly olly oxen free” as well..but then the “outs and free” seems to make more sense….hmmm.
I thought it was “Olly Olly Oxen Free” too.
It’s got to be oxen free – i can’t be wrong about this too!
I thought it was “lolly, lolly, lolly get your adverbs here”
Schoolhouse Rock win!
That’s too funny! My grown son sings that out of the blue! It must’ve been from something he watched on tv as a kid!
Perfect!
@carol:
Schoolhouse Rock – Adverbs –
There was an entire series of these short educational musical cartoons and anyone who was a kid in the 70s and 80s knows a ton of these.
I thought it was ollie, ollie, in come free!
No matter what it was SUPPOSED to be or what it was originally – it turned into “Olly, olly, oxen free!” That’s what we all used to say in our neighborhood.
Here’s another vote for oxen free. that’s what we always said as kids growing up in the 70’s.
One more vote for “olly, olly oxen free” here.
And this does have the look of a promotional picure for some film or tv show. Maybe it’s the lighting or something….
Thank goodness we have this settled!
So where do I go for my free ox?
“All ye, all ye outs in free!”
Hey! Sorry. I didn’t mean to start an avalanche. As I said, my “perfect” mother told me what it should be, according to her. She likes being right and correcting children. From the looks of things, I bet those kids had a cool dad. He wasn’t afraid to wear that tie; although the mom looks a bit uncomfortable–probably from making sure the kids kept things clean and didn’t fight, and didn’t run around at the studio, and made sure her makeup was good.
i like the way mum made sure her (no doubt, carefully selected!) outfit was still in the picture.
ha, exactly. i’m sure a lot went into that look.
“Happy Holidays from the Stalkers”
“Why hello! We are the Peekertons! Pleased to meet you!”
LOL!
mom and dad both look like news anchors.
I was going to say that I get the vibe that they either want to read my news or sell my house.
Mom wants to sell you a house and dad’s going to do a live news feed at 6:00 p.m.
I’m so glad I saw your comment. I was about to say the same thing!
They look like realtors for sure, but I agree with news anchors too
I really want to use that white space to the left to draw in the rest of the picture.
I agree! I saw all of that white wall and thought-what a waste! They could’ve let the two little boys color on it with their crayons at least!!
Tuesdays at 9 on NBC!
It just seems a shame that half of their clothes are hidden when so many awful outfits, and non-outfits, and sheets, and leaves, and what-have-you, and are on full display in the typical family photo. Who expected to say, I’d like to see more?
is it just on my computer, or does the little boy on the bottom slide up and down the wall when you scroll up and down near him?
They were/are TV news anchors, right?
The background looks like a doctors office. Maybe they are all going to the dentist
Maybe this was a test cast for “Family Ties”
You know Mom definitely uses either Prell or Jhirmack shampoo ’cause she’s got some serious hair volume happening
Could be VO5 with Jojoba
Nawww, VO5 only cost 99 cents at Safeway…
Seriously, only their eyes are different. Noses, smiles, smile lines, stature (ha!)… all are the same.
“ally, ally, achs sein fried” is the literal saying. It is Dutch for ” all, all are free!” Hide and seek was a popular game with dutch colonial children, and as it transfered to other ethnic groups it got corrupted into “olly, olly oxen free” (which is actually very close to the correct pronunciation.)
Wow! not only did I get a good laugh, I learned something today. Thanks, Mitch!
Thank you for clearing that up! That certainly makes sense.
I wonder where “Neener neener boo boo” comes from?
haha!
All-this isn’t the 80’s or 90’s or TV anchors. Mom & Dad have PIERCINGS! Mom has one on the right side of her nose, which is okay I guess, but Mr. GQ has one of the right side of his face. BTW, Mom is pretty hot
Wow, it does look like that – how funny. But, I’m pretty sure it’s just a flaw in the picture. Especially where the dad is concerned (nobody would have a piercing there, right?)
Mom is smokin hot.
I think its cute~!!
Me too, adorable!
love that the little boy is in sweats–
This is one of those moment when u know, if this family ever went into politics, there would be some sort of scandal involved.
Good one! Some people are just too perfect.
I can’t get past some of the photographic “issues”.. the little boy’s legs are cut off. The bright light behind the mother makes the rest of the photo too dark. I honestly like the photo idea, and I love the bright colours the family is wearing.
i can see you
You know Dad is on the outs. He’s not wearing primary colors.
Best line all day.
SITCOM
i’d still guess late ’80s… and i think she was a designing woman.
Wow check out the resemblence of the husband and wife, they look SO ALIKE they could be brother and sister!
haha I absolutely LOVE that little kid at the bottom. The expression on his face is priceless!
Actually it was about 1992.
uh ohhh look at our clothes, Maybe we’ll apear less colorful and flashy if we hide behind here:)
Today only all pics HALF-OFF!!!!!
“Um, yeah, pest control? I have a little problem in the hallway. Seems as if a family of four have infested it and I can’t seem to get them out of here. Any suggestions?”
The mom is very pretty and has great 80’s hair. A lot of work went into that. I remember taking forever to spray all of my layers into place and get the poufy bangs just right….and then go outside and it’s a New England winter with gale force winds. wah waaaaaaah
