My daughter is a little turbo Goth and she has a picture of Marilyn Manson sitting with a mall Santa. I think it’s the juxtaposition or the irony or something.
two thoughts on this pic – although alot of the previous comments were lol – I don’t think this site has the “vote on our favorite comment” section – Anyway – I thought – wow, it’s like the evolution of becoming Goth or leaving the Goth (bohemian to Goth or the reverse?) (with santa being the extreme – either way ) – Lower left -not looking at camera due to being upset and pouting about having only ONE side of his hair finished. Or it’s simply “don’t look at the camera it will steal your soul”
I think the kids are great my daughter has had her share at “trends” LOL but why is Santa in his underoos, where is the rest of his get up? LOL If this was my teenager I would be waiting for the year she or he either got married or had a child and you bet this would be my Christmas card that same year that says ” you’ve come a long way baby”! Now mind you they could have had a goth wedding or be dressing their baby in Goth so then the Christmas card will say “Somethings Never Change” LMAO I am cracking myself up!
This is actually a really cute picture. These kids will have something fun to show their own kids one day. The most disturbing thing about the photo is why Santa stole a blouse from Ma Ingalls to wear under his suspenders.
they look like they actually want coal for Christmas.. but you know that Goths were the first EMO’s so you know that deep down they really just want to be loved and given a wii for Christmas like everyone else.
Goths with a sense of humor, having fun at the mall. I think it’s cute, sort of “the magic of Christmas/everyone is still a kid at heart” kind of deal.
Me and my little goth friends used to *talk* about how funny it would be to pose with Santa while we were @ the mall all the time we just never did it.

That’s awesome! I am not goth and usually think it’s stupid, but I’d actually like to be in this photo. Plus, something about it is very movie poster-y. It almost qualifies as kitsch.
haha! the one with the pink hair is thinking “this is NOT happening!”… he can’t even look at the camera. if they are siblings, their mother is clearly a force to be reckoned with. have never seen so many goths posing for a photo, let alone one with santa! x
[said with an Austrailian accent]: Crikey! This is a rare sight! Usually you can only see one at a time! It is very unusual to see so many in one place! Notice how they are in a group, but they posistion themselves so as to give off the body language that they are still alone. Look at the one on the left, isn’t he a beaut! Oops, sorry that’s a he! CRIKEY! She almost bit my bloody finger off!
