This is actually a yoga position that is somewhat difficult to do! Now, doing it in your undies when you’re a grandpa still makes for a funny photo. But there’s no reason to hate, this guy is in shape!
the backstory is that he was actually superglued by the feet to the wall and was discovered 3 days after he’d booked into the motel by a chambermaid who took the pic – thank god he was a vegetarian.
I am familiar with this position. If you have the right environment it is a perfect position for expelling gas (or “farting position”, as my brothers called it.) You see, the air rises, and in no time you are naturally gas-free. No Beano needed.
The idea of anybody taking a picture of somebody doing a handstand in his underwear in a motel room leads me to one conclusion: there had to be alcohol involved.
The only shot that might have been even stranger than this would be a picture taken from just outside of this motel room of the shadow that gramps would be casting on the curtains.
They NEVER get changed or washed unless they are soaking wet or in some other way ruined. I was a hotel maid once upon a time so I know the drill – get in the room, throw off the spread, change the sheets and put the spread back on. Bleh.
Those of you posting disparaging comments; how many of you can do a headstand? Grandpa appears to be in pretty good shape; he can probably whoop the tar out of you young whipper-snappers!
This is my pic and I don’t have a story really. It’s my grandfather. I don’t even know who took the picture. He travels a lot with friends and traveled with my grandmother until she passed away. So it could have been a friend or my grandmother. He was very athletic when he was younger. He played and reffd football, played basketball, and was a trick waterskiier. I guess he was just showing out or being goofy. What’s funny is that he has no idea I’ve posted this but family will probably tell him. I’m gonna be in trouble. LOL
At the time, he might have been goofing around and not expecting someone to take his picture. And he most certainly wasn’t expecting this picture to show up in public. I think grandfather is going to be angry, ooh.
