Ahhhhhh so much jealous!!! I’ve loved them for 25 years, and now my children listen to them with me in the car lololol!!

  2. 80sgirl says:

What? ?? I thought those guys dropped off the radar by 1994 (that was when everyone was somehow convinced those Home Improvement kids were freakout cute) I wouldn’t want to think about any other vocal pop artists doing a cruise now…maybe I’ve never liked popular because it gets overly popular.

  3. Courtney says:

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JEALOUS of ALL of you that got to go on a NKOTB cruise!!!! I was desperately in love with them <3 STILL LOVE The New Kids on the Block :)

  4. Emily says:

I would have done anything to be her when I ws 8. Jordan was in my dreams often!!!

  5. Angela says:

OMG I am super jealous!!! I too wish I was sitting on Jordan’s lap!!!

  6. Gretchen says:

I too was on this cruise… My picture is me sitting on Joe’s lap, he’s pointing and we both have our mouths open but I distinctly remember that neither if us are actually saying anything… Also, Donnie didn’t finish his sandwich so I took it. And wrapped it in plastic. Took it home. Kept it in my parents freezer. I think it is still there…

  7. Stephanie says:

OMG! I was on this cruise and my photo with NKOTB includes Donnie’s plate of food. Fond memories of that once in a lifetime opportunity to Hang Tough with the New Kids when I was a kid!

  8. Karin says:

I am jealous. I would have paid to have a picture like this.

  9. JulieM says:

Joey doesn’t seem to be ‘in the moment’ too much here…maybe there are more chicken sandwiches off to the right.

  10. Kay says:

I just uploaded our photos from this same event!

  11. KT says:

Luckiest girl EVER! I heart Jonathan! :)

  12. Heather says:

Joey is still cute & always has been. I sure feel old seeing an old pic of NKOTB. Ah yes to be young and have a crush on a boy band. :)

  13. Me says:

    Joey’s cute.

  14. Missy says:

“But mom, I wanted you to bribe me with “Guns and Roses!”

  15. Sam says:

I would have skinned my cat alive to be in that girls spot in that year.

  16. ShannaBanana says:

I always wanted to sit on Jordan Knight’s lap.

    Still would.

  17. cheeseburgersanchez says:

I would have sold my mother to have been on this cruise. I am a nearly thirty year old woman, am married with a child, and I still cried like a baby when I found out Joey got married.

  18. MariaLin says:

It took me a few seconds till I realized it was them. Then I started screaming, It’s Joey!

  19. gk says:

… at least, if they fall overboard, the gel will quickly render the water a gelatinous goo that will hold them afloat and bouyant (or “boy”-ant) until the rescue crews can get to them. What? the rescue crews don’t care? hmmmmm…

  20. IllyJoel says:

Am I the only one that is disturbed by how ripped the legs are of the dude on the left?

    • Dan says:

      It’s soccer–check out the Sambas.

    • highnoon says:

Danny Wood was a muscle head back in the day.
My brother went to high school with him and smashed a banana in his face and punched him when they had a beef.

The adidas aren’t really indicative of soccer playing.
They were the style in boston then.

    • coley says:

Donnie had to be the muscle one because he didn’t have the face, voice, or “bad boy” image. In the Step by Step video he’s lifting weights to show off his “strength” in the group.

      • Keri says:

Actually,Danny is the one lifting weights in the Step by Step video. Before you try to ridicule them, get your facts straight. :) NKOTB 4 LIFE!

  21. Momma Jenn says:

Must say I am a little jealous…remembering the days of running around and screaming when they came on TV….ah to be young again….

    • Whatshername. says:

i JUST ran around my office jumpin and screamin when i saw this! SQUEE! you are as young as you feel and ima feel REAL young when i celebrate my 29th birthday at their Radio City show this month ;)

  22. Oh my, I would have been the most popular girl in school had I come back from summer vacation with this picture.

  23. Marlene says:

It this won’t make her eat, nothing will!!!

My younger self just squealed “eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee” with envy!!!

  24. Alyssa says:

I’m going on 30 years old and my little 9 year old self just jumped up and down about a billion times inside me while going OMG OMG! So SO jealous of that little girl. I think it’s time to dig out those dusty tapes and relive some preteen memories.

Does anyone else think it’s odd that Donny’s hair style is back in now?

  25. TheDude says:

I swear that’s her right hand showing behind her back. I can’t figure out what else that could be. They had to twist her arm to be in this photo?

  26. Can’t believe Joey is wearing a Public Enemy t-shirt and cutoff shorts.

    • Miss Jane says:

If I had seen this when I was in high school, I would have been enraged and insisted that he is the biggest poser of all times! Luckily I’m grown now and things don’t affect me like that anymore. Or do they?

    • ScoutC says:

I believe they are called “jorts.” The “kids” look as though they could be posted on another site devoted to shoppers at a certain big-box discount store.

  27. ScoutC says:

I can’t blame the kid for not eating. They had a nauseating effect on many back in the day.

  28. CB says:

So….I don’t get it. Is this a promotional shot? Why this particular pose, if so? “Famous boy band is on our cruise…..and will force feed your children when they don’t want to eat”?

    • Sarah says:

I think the thing was maybe Donnie was eating between pictures, and just offered the little girl some. This is kind of off center, so it was probably one of the parents who snapped this shot (as opposed to the prof. photographer.)

  29. Jami says:

Well frankly this picture is all sorts of magic! I think they should recreate a modern day version of this. I’m sure everyone has the time on their hands to do it. Yes, even you, Donnie Big-shot Whalberg!

  30. John III says:

How much did they have to pay NKOTB to be on this cruise in their prime? Pretty impressive. And how much would they pay them today? Probably the price of Donnie’s hamburger…

    • Jen says:

NKOTB has done 2 cruises, 2009 and 2010, and set records in how quickly they sold out. They have already announced a 2011 cruise also, and it’s looking to sell out just as fast. Just FYI.

      • Whatshername. says:

Those boys sure do know how to get us almost 30-sumpins to empty our wallets! then AND now. BLOCKHEAD 4EVA!

        • Squeak says:

Sweetie, it’s not just the “almost 30-sumpins”… it’s the already 30-somethings, too. What a sad, sad existence we lead…. :(

  31. Jeff says:

I’ve met many celebrities over the course of my lifetime (the last one was Ben Stein at LAX) and not one of them has force-fed me for a photo op. I feel so left out.

  32. Ren says:

I’d love to be sitting on Jordan’s lap right now!

  33. gregorian says:

    I don’t get it.
Does the kid have a overbearing mother who has INSISTED that she finishes her dinner? And just because your having your photo taken with a Boy Band doesn’t mean you can stop eating, young lady!

  34. Nicci says:

AWESOME! I have never seen any pictures from the very first cruise (*silently thinking*I would so love to be sitting on Jordan’s lap while Donnie finger feeds me)!
