  3. Punchy McGee says:

I would have thought she was one of the prettiest people at the dance. I remember hair and dresses like this.

  4. Binkymae says:

When I glanced at this it looked like she had on a cute short black dress, but was holding a file folder… then she lost her grip on it…and the papers were spilling out.

  5. batya says:

    i think she looks awesome!

  6. Cady says:

She does have a kickin’ bod.

  7. sadi says:

Those were the heels you would wear with that type of dress around 1986/87. I had something similar, but not as poofy on the bottom. Lower heels were the appropriate choice. You had to offset the hair!

  8. JoeBob says:

This should be titled “WILD MUSTANG”!!!!

  9. cheryl says:

    Her hair is totally wicked!

  10. Christine says:

It is glorious…simply glorious! From the asymmetrical pitch to the side to the “claw” in the front, this is some fine 80’s hair. I’ll bet she’s thinking, “Just don’t let it rain!” 80’s hair didn’t like it when it rained!

  11. suzischnauzer says:

I had this exact dress. I loved it, wore it to an xmas party at a very swank hotel ballroom. I looked just as fab as this little lady. What a great dress. I sure felt like a million bucks in it.

  12. Cherie says:

    Looks windy to me

  13. Joseph says:

The young Kelly Ripa looks hopefully to her future. Guided to her trusty bangs, the wind seems to whisper, “Reeeeeeegis.”

  14. tmansbamaw says:

    She has a pretty face.

  15. tmansbamaw says:

    She has a pretty face.

  16. ScoutC says:

Why am I reminded of those birds that tip forward to “drink” from a glass of water and then tip back up again? LOVE the dark roots on the big hair!

  17. June says:

Is that a ferret crawling on the right side of her head? I think it’s a ferret.

  18. ellamay says:

I don’t think that white thing is part of her dress…it looks like she is holding the ‘stem’ of the white ‘bouquet’ in her hand…Where is the person in this photo out there in cyber-land…hmmmmmm? Prove me wrong. 😉

  19. Ian says:

All I see is Spike from the original Degrassi series…

  20. serg says:

She is rockin’ that look!! As awkward as it looks now, I’m sure she was the hottest chick at the prom that night.

  21. dee says:

All that and classic pearls. 1980’s version of Breakfast at Tiffanys

  22. John III says:

I can’t believe no one has said this yet, “I hope she got a building permit for that hair!”

  23. CJ says:

Sure, it’s a crazy-looking getup, but it somehow works on her. The fact that the poofiness is balanced really helps, and she can really pull off the shape of the black part of the dress. I like it!

  24. senora_jennifer says:

Notice her hair color is also symetrical to the dress.

  25. CJ says:

Same dress, same hair. Circa 1986. Stiff Stuff. I was proud too.

  26. Susan says:

This is a HUGE 80’s hair win! Height and width is what we strived for back then and she has clearly succeeded in both. You go, girl!

  27. Sara says:

Love it. She is SO in fashion for the 80’s! The asymetrical hemline! The tall hair! The poufy skirt under the slim fit top! I wore a similar dress to a prom!

  28. Snowrider says:

Her favorite group? A Flock of Seagulls….

  29. Snowrider says:

Amazing, east wind at her head and the west wind at her ankles….

  30. MMB says:

She was posing in the front yard when a long-hair squirrel jumped on her head…

  31. Lance says:

    This is THE best caption!

  32. Tiffani says:

Sculpted hair so hard it could protect her from re-entry of the Earth’s atmosphere =1 Can of AquaNet

Cocktail dress angled for perfect lift-off and landings in case of freak airplane malfunction=$200

The fact that her entire outfit could double as an upscale Space Suit for Astronauts= Priceless

  33. JerseyPam says:

She’s absolutely beautiful from her eyes to her thighs!

  34. Jon says:

You have to admit it’s a nice profile!

  35. Janellionaire says:

Whatever this is, she is clearly rocking it.

  36. ellen says:

    That is EPIC!

  37. Molly W. says:

They’re not kitten heels, they’re stilettos buried 6″ in the ground. Combination high heels/lawn aeration devices.

  38. Deb E. says:

The Scott toilet tissue around the hem really adds to her fashion statement as does the assymetrical mullet. So 80s! OH MAH GAWD! GNARLY!

  39. CarrieM says:

Was there a tornado in the area?

  40. Gigi says:

Auditioning for the role of Nahla in the LIon King.

  41. Goofball says:

Minutes before her school play….Becky grabs her lines and prays she is not late for her opening performance as Mufasa…in the Lion King !!!

    • Snowrider says:

      Everybody sing!!!!
“Pink pajamas penguins on the bottom”
“Pink pajamas penguins on the bottom”
      “The circle of life”

  42. MaryCherry says:

Her hair is that high to catch the things that go over her head!

  43. Kim Wakeman says:

looks like someone barfed 1970’s on her from head to toe

  44. Bill says:

The Cowardly Lion and Dorothy had a love child.

  45. Ohmy says:

All that wackness and she opts for sensible kitten heels. What a cop out.

  46. John says:

The dress serves as a kickstand while her head acts as the fulcrum for her hair. Ancient physics still hard at work!

  47. charlene says:

    um… wow. Just wow.

  48. Matthew says:

Because nothing adds to fashion like the blinding glare of the sun.

  49. CAB says:

How much hairspray was required for this?

    • PaulaSaintO says:

That would have been about half a can of Aqua Net (HAD to be Aqua Net) and a blow dryer set on high. It was the 80’s and we knew how to rock the big hair.

      • LuLu says:

It could have been spritzer. I don’t even know if they make that stuff anymore, but mine was rated as “Super Stiff”. It was like a big bottle of super glue that magically washed out each night.

    • Melissa G. says:

Well if she had some money she could have used Vavoom. Y’all remember that? It was like shellac!

  50. Jaaq says:

I remember those dresses and hair do’s, look how proud she is!
