When I glanced at this it looked like she had on a cute short black dress, but was holding a file folder… then she lost her grip on it…and the papers were spilling out.
Those were the heels you would wear with that type of dress around 1986/87. I had something similar, but not as poofy on the bottom. Lower heels were the appropriate choice. You had to offset the hair!
It is glorious…simply glorious! From the asymmetrical pitch to the side to the “claw” in the front, this is some fine 80′s hair. I’ll bet she’s thinking, “Just don’t let it rain!” 80′s hair didn’t like it when it rained!
I had this exact dress. I loved it, wore it to an xmas party at a very swank hotel ballroom. I looked just as fab as this little lady. What a great dress. I sure felt like a million bucks in it.
I don’t think that white thing is part of her dress…it looks like she is holding the ‘stem’ of the white ‘bouquet’ in her hand…Where is the person in this photo out there in cyber-land…hmmmmmm? Prove me wrong.
Sure, it’s a crazy-looking getup, but it somehow works on her. The fact that the poofiness is balanced really helps, and she can really pull off the shape of the black part of the dress. I like it!
Love it. She is SO in fashion for the 80′s! The asymetrical hemline! The tall hair! The poufy skirt under the slim fit top! I wore a similar dress to a prom!
That would have been about half a can of Aqua Net (HAD to be Aqua Net) and a blow dryer set on high. It was the 80′s and we knew how to rock the big hair.
It could have been spritzer. I don’t even know if they make that stuff anymore, but mine was rated as “Super Stiff”. It was like a big bottle of super glue that magically washed out each night.

Heellllo Lita Ford!!! (Late 80′s reference)
ROOFIO! ROOFIO!
I would have thought she was one of the prettiest people at the dance. I remember hair and dresses like this.
When I glanced at this it looked like she had on a cute short black dress, but was holding a file folder… then she lost her grip on it…and the papers were spilling out.
i think she looks awesome!
I totally agree, I’m 19 and think the kids these days are so boring, I bet she had fun!
She does have a kickin’ bod.
She’s hot.

This should be titled “WILD MUSTANG”!!!!
Her hair is totally wicked!

Looks windy to me
The young Kelly Ripa looks hopefully to her future. Guided to her trusty bangs, the wind seems to whisper, “Reeeeeeegis.”
She has a pretty face.
She has a pretty face.
Why am I reminded of those birds that tip forward to “drink” from a glass of water and then tip back up again? LOVE the dark roots on the big hair!
Is that a ferret crawling on the right side of her head? I think it’s a ferret.
I don’t think that white thing is part of her dress…it looks like she is holding the ‘stem’ of the white ‘bouquet’ in her hand…Where is the person in this photo out there in cyber-land…hmmmmmm? Prove me wrong.
Hilarious! It does look like she’s holding a super fancy party invitation or an avant garde fan.
All I see is Spike from the original Degrassi series…
awesome!
YES!!!! LMAO
She is rockin’ that look!! As awkward as it looks now, I’m sure she was the hottest chick at the prom that night.
All that and classic pearls. 1980′s version of Breakfast at Tiffanys
I can’t believe no one has said this yet, “I hope she got a building permit for that hair!”
Sure, it’s a crazy-looking getup, but it somehow works on her. The fact that the poofiness is balanced really helps, and she can really pull off the shape of the black part of the dress. I like it!
Notice her hair color is also symetrical to the dress.
Same dress, same hair. Circa 1986. Stiff Stuff. I was proud too.
This is a HUGE 80′s hair win! Height and width is what we strived for back then and she has clearly succeeded in both. You go, girl!
Love it. She is SO in fashion for the 80′s! The asymetrical hemline! The tall hair! The poufy skirt under the slim fit top! I wore a similar dress to a prom!
Her favorite group? A Flock of Seagulls….
Amazing, east wind at her head and the west wind at her ankles….
She was posing in the front yard when a long-hair squirrel jumped on her head…
This is THE best caption!
Sculpted hair so hard it could protect her from re-entry of the Earth’s atmosphere =1 Can of AquaNet
Cocktail dress angled for perfect lift-off and landings in case of freak airplane malfunction=$200
The fact that her entire outfit could double as an upscale Space Suit for Astronauts= Priceless
WIN!
Niiiiiccce, Tiff! Nicely done-
She’s absolutely beautiful from her eyes to her thighs!
You have to admit it’s a nice profile!
Whatever this is, she is clearly rocking it.
That is EPIC!
They’re not kitten heels, they’re stilettos buried 6″ in the ground. Combination high heels/lawn aeration devices.
The Scott toilet tissue around the hem really adds to her fashion statement as does the assymetrical mullet. So 80s! OH MAH GAWD! GNARLY!
Was there a tornado in the area?
Auditioning for the role of Nahla in the LIon King.
Minutes before her school play….Becky grabs her lines and prays she is not late for her opening performance as Mufasa…in the Lion King !!!
Everybody sing!!!!
“Pink pajamas penguins on the bottom”
“Pink pajamas penguins on the bottom”
“The circle of life”
Her hair is that high to catch the things that go over her head!
looks like someone barfed 1970′s on her from head to toe
ummm no… this would be the 1980′s, or even as late as 1990 in my neck of the woods!
agreed. That do is definitely 80s, probably mid to late and possibly even 1990 or 91.
Believe it or not, my sister was married in 1990 and wore this exact dress for her bridal gown, but with white stockings, white shoes, and a veil.
Definately not 70′s
The Cowardly Lion and Dorothy had a love child.
Win
Made me spit my wine out!
Double win- lost a sip o’ beer on that one!!
All that wackness and she opts for sensible kitten heels. What a cop out.
perhaps they were/are heels but standing on lawn, the weight of that hair, she may have sunk.
The dress serves as a kickstand while her head acts as the fulcrum for her hair. Ancient physics still hard at work!
um… wow. Just wow.
Because nothing adds to fashion like the blinding glare of the sun.
How much hairspray was required for this?

Love this pic. Stiff Stuff or Aqua Net def in use. Love the dress, too. Class of 1990, baby!
only Aqua Net in the white can could make a hairdo like that…
Well if she had some money she could have used Vavoom. Y’all remember that? It was like shellac!
I sometimes miss the 80′s and big hair. This does not happen to be one of them! lol
I remember those dresses and hair do’s, look how proud she is!
