I would have thought she was one of the prettiest people at the dance. I remember hair and dresses like this.
When I glanced at this it looked like she had on a cute short black dress, but was holding a file folder… then she lost her grip on it…and the papers were spilling out.

Those were the heels you would wear with that type of dress around 1986/87. I had something similar, but not as poofy on the bottom. Lower heels were the appropriate choice. You had to offset the hair!

It is glorious…simply glorious! From the asymmetrical pitch to the side to the “claw” in the front, this is some fine 80′s hair. I’ll bet she’s thinking, “Just don’t let it rain!” 80′s hair didn’t like it when it rained!
I had this exact dress. I loved it, wore it to an xmas party at a very swank hotel ballroom. I looked just as fab as this little lady. What a great dress. I sure felt like a million bucks in it.

I don’t think that white thing is part of her dress…it looks like she is holding the ‘stem’ of the white ‘bouquet’ in her hand…Where is the person in this photo out there in cyber-land…hmmmmmm? Prove me wrong.

Sure, it’s a crazy-looking getup, but it somehow works on her. The fact that the poofiness is balanced really helps, and she can really pull off the shape of the black part of the dress. I like it!
Notice her hair color is also symetrical to the dress.

The Scott toilet tissue around the hem really adds to her fashion statement as does the assymetrical mullet. So 80s! OH MAH GAWD! GNARLY!

Believe it or not, my sister was married in 1990 and wore this exact dress for her bridal gown, but with white stockings, white shoes, and a veil.

That would have been about half a can of Aqua Net (HAD to be Aqua Net) and a blow dryer set on high. It was the 80′s and we knew how to rock the big hair.
It could have been spritzer. I don’t even know if they make that stuff anymore, but mine was rated as “Super Stiff”. It was like a big bottle of super glue that magically washed out each night.
