look how fired up the mom is haha
..what the hell is a crouch?
I think I would have gone with “couch potato”, since people out and about aren’t going to know your last name is “Crouch”… it instead, looks like a “typo” on the spelling. “Couch potato” would have made a better costume in my opinion, but who cares what I think…lol Cute idea, small fry would have been cute for the “black sheep”. =P
A perfect time for: WTF?????
I love how the little ballerina is slightly turned away from the rest of the family, as if she doesn’t want to be associated with them!
My mind was initially racing, thinking it said “Crotch Potatoes”.
Damn those potatos on my crouch!!!…makes me wanna sleep on the couch!!….to avoid making more tots……..oh, oh ouch!!!
not true where i live in salem halloween is for adults
will you be in our oven with us…., oh i mean picture?….. no!!!!!!!!!!!!……. please….,only if i can be a princess!!!………FINE BE LIKE THAT THEN!!!!!!
Dad must have been rushing home from work to take this photo? I can’t imagine why he’d be wearing a collared dress shirt and watch !
I think the collar wasn’t supposed to show. His costume obviously has a “face hole” like that of his wife’s, but he pushed his head through it and made a neck hold out of it.
I well remember this harvest carnival costume. So good to revisit the Crouch potatoes!
This picture of my family (I’m the mom) was taken at a Halloween Carnival. Our last name is “Crouch”. I made the Crouch potato outfits out of an old bedspread and the tater tots outfits out of old foam. My daughter (who is now 25) did refuse to join in the theme. We used the pic for our 1988 Christmas card.
So the small fry just refused to go along with the family gag xmas card?
Congratulations on making it into the AFP book!
I love it!!I have 5 kids and all of their teachers call them the crouch potatoes–I think it is very cute and all of these negative comments–they just don’t get it , they are not crouch’s–lol
Love it! That’s that good old Crouch humor! When you have a last name that pretty much opens you up to alot of comments, it’s best to beat ‘em to it!
So the daughter refused to go along with the theme and be a french fry?
I wish I had thought of that! Maybe I could have talked her into it….probably not.
“Are you SURE you don’t want to be a tater tot?”
“BALLERINA!”
“But look, you match, don’t you–”
“BALLERINA!”
“Okay, if you want, but you’ll be all alone, the lonely–”
“BALLERINA!”
LOL, so, as the actual ballerina, i think your comment was my fave out of all of them!
It’s a great idea for a family Halloween costume, but not in a professional photo! I have never understood that – just take one with your own camera – ‘cuz posed like this, it becomes really awkward.
[For Harry Potter fans]
And suddenly we all understand why Barty jr., the baby of the Crouch family, later turned against his family and joined “He Who Shall Not Be Named.”
I’m hoping the Crouch is there last name!! For a split second I thought I read “Croach Potato”
This Spud’s for you!!!
