I have to agree that it’s cute and awkward. I can’t imagine getting 6 newborns into a not awkward picture would be all that easy though.
The most awkward part is that you are supposed to put babies ON THEIR BACKS to sleep.
Aww, they look like marzipan babies:) Except for Dad – he kind of looks like a big old chunky Buddha!
All I can think about is how they are all diaperless and about to start peeing and pooping on Dad any second now.
My head just exploded from the cuteness! Not awkward at all, just absolutely precious.

I think the only awkward thing might be the mom. She kind of stands out in an odd way. Otherwise, soooo cute!

SO glad they decided to let Dad keep his jeans…but I have to agree with the adorableness too! And Dad is really not asleep, he just didn’t want anyone to pee in his eyes!

Cute? The cutest. Adorable? Goes without saying. Now, realistically, lets hope this was a nice posed shot of several children from different families with a nice couple for a wonderful photo objet d’Art. The alternative is it’s Octomom’s lil sis, Sixomom and you and I will be paying for this cuteness for the next two decades if not longer.
Octomom is a single mother who already had four children. And why should you have to pay anything for this family? Don’t even say it.
wow!! um, wow! So, basically what you are saying is that anyone who has multiples is going to be on welfare. It’s not even within the realm of possibility that this family, or anyone who happened to have more than one baby at a time, might have the means to support their own family. I see. BTW, how many at a time is too many? 5? 4? 3? 2? Also, would you think differently if these children had been born a year or more apart?
That’s pretty ignorant, Bob. Octomom had 14 babies and no father for any of them. This COUPLE has 6 babies. And how do you know that they can’t support their own children?
They’re real sextuplets. It’s been circulating on Facebook along with a plea for people of color to help support this family.
Regardless, I think it’s a very cool photo, not at all awkward, and think it’s a miracle they could get all six asleep at the same time, let alone with some smiles. I couldn’t even get my singleton to fall asleep for his newborn photo shoot.
Remember that scene in “Gremlins” when the gremlin with the mohawk, “Spike” I believe, got wet and started to bubble and bud new gremlins????

Yeah, I don’t know why people suddenly feel like it’s their right to tell other people what they should be doing. Busybodies, I call them.
It’s a personal decision between husband and wife. In the case of pregnancy with multiple babies, the other choice would be to abort some of them to bring the total down to an “acceptable” level.
I can’t understand how someone can look at those happy people and precious babies, and be so Scrooge-like.

We had 3 under 3 (now 5 under 5), and I think attempting a pic like this would have been nigh impossible without the help of Ruhypnol (just jokes people). Fantastic photo though, extremely cute…and so are the babies lol. Anne Geddes eat your heart out.
What I want to know is how did they get all those babies to sleep at the same time. that’s awesome…i wonder if that trick works at home too! LOL. It’s mildly awkward, but super sweet too.

Adorable? Yes! Awkward? Maybe jus that it looks like Dad just doffed his shirt and laid down…I guess I’d like to see a shirt on dad and maybe MOM featured a little more prominently…after all, she did 99% of the work to get to this picture!
Oh – and by the way Mr Photographer….why in the hell would you put naked babies with brown skin on a brown background?
because it works for the idea of the photo—when subjects stand out too much from the background in a shot where the photographer is trying to invoke closeness, it can dtract from that feeling.
The only change I would have made is to have arranged them so it could be cropped closer, so there isn’t so much empty space above them. The unused space is what’s making the brown look overdone.

One thing I find awkward is all the women asking why mom isn’t asleep. It’s a new day, men are primary caretakers too.
hello??!! Bob, those are newborns hun…….momma just gave BIRTH to SIX babies!!! Rob…when you can do that, only then….will you understand why momma needs a nap…no matter how much daddy helps.
The only reason I can think this might be awkward is if those are all the same baby and he (she?) is Photoshopped in there in all those poses. Or some kind of shutter time delay or something. Otherwise if that is all one family with six different newborns it is a lovely picture of an adorable family.
Since the babies have differing skin tones and amounts of hair, I’d guess it is really six different babies.
I can’t imagine why they all chose to sleep at the same time with bright lights and cameras around! Baby Benadryl drops in their last bottle?
Shouldn’t mom be the one allowed to take a nap with 6 new babies?

uh no this is very awkward. first reaction was “what the?!” while i do agree that the babies are cute, that the family is cute, i stand by that this is indeed an awkward pic.
My first thought was “I hope he didn’t awake suddenly aware of the fact that one of those children really needed a diaper.” But that’s just the way my mind works.
I was extremely surprised to see this, and immediately thought of “Invasion Of The Body Snatchers.”
