Moments later, this young man accidentally shaved his teeth.

LOVEEEEEE the facepalm that can only be seen in the mirror. 🙂 bahahha
Why exactly is the sink so full of water? That’s what’s bugging me.
I am just glad we don’t see a can of shaving cream on the counter anywhere.
It’s so 90’s, which makes it really awkward. The White Rain, the excessive amounts of artificial dyes in every product… I’m pretty sure that they all had a good laugh and a nice glass of Tang after this picture was taken.
It’s the awkward son of Phantom of the Opera
The big brother facepalm is classic!
Ah..White Rain. Smells like the 90’s.
I agree that this isn’t the most “awkward” kid picture ever posted. On the other hand, I’m unable to work myself into a frenzy (or, if you prefer, a lather) about it. I’m confident AFP will make a comeback in due course.
Well ok….I take back what I wrote earlier. The White Rain hairspray is a little awkward. I mean, who admits to using that?? ;op
I like the expression of older brother when he is only a couple of years away from doing the same stunts. Two boys, don’t take your eyes away from them for a second! I could write a book!
So I totally thought that this was a picture of me and my two best friends at that age only one was shaving my face with toothpaste while the other was palm to face.
I love it
Will AFP ever get so big that people will simply stage ‘awkward’ scenes, just to get on it?
Yes there are many photo’s on this site where others have questioned if they have been staged or otherwise computer enhanced to make waves on AFP. Nothing new.
What’s awkward is that the photographer is already there!
This picture is replayed everyday in millions of homes with kids everywhere. We demand unique, rare, against the grain, and awkward phots. Not this mundane cute stuff every parent holds on to show future dates to embarrass them as future teens.
I agree with the other posts. This is not awkward. Just a funny, but typical, kid photo.
I personally don’t find it to be awkward but for those of you who do….enjoy!
AFP has lost it’s focus. Like Arkie said go back to what this site used to be about. Awkward photos not cute family pictures.
I laughed so hard at this one!! I have two boys, and this could totally happen at our house. This photo captured a very funny moment in time!
Hmmm looks like a normal situation in my house…
I love the “oy vey” facepalm of the other kid.
I think this picture is awkward by # 1 – He appears to have been trying to brush his teeth with a power toothbrush but at 2 or 3 was lacking the skill to do it. With that said we would all love to see more that would be in the range of # 3 – socially awkward.
1. lacking skill or dexterity; clumsy.
2. lacking grace or ease in movement: an awkward gesture; an awkward dancer.
3. lacking social graces or manners: a simple, awkward frontiersman.
4. not well planned or designed for easy or effective use: an awkward instrument; an awkward method.
5. requiring caution; somewhat hazardous; dangerous: an awkward turn in the road.
6. hard to deal with; difficult; requiring skill, tact, or the like: an awkward situation; an awkward customer.
7. embarrassing or inconvenient; caused by lack of social grace: an awkward moment
If you have to explain why the photo is awkward…. it’s not awkward…
Awkward should be self-explanatory. Good try though!!!
I love the brother’s reaction haha
The other boy looks the same age, but mature enough to be embarrassed by the scene.
Face Palm looks to be about 6-7ish other boy looks to be about 4
Love the facepalm the other kid is giving.
The best part is the /facepalm of his brother, who is obviously ashamed.
Actually he just got into the superglue…
Okay…AFP needs to be more selective in the photos added to this site. What is so ‘awkward’ about this?
Nothing awkward about it. Go back to the type of photos, this site originally published, please. This is cute and adorable but not awkward.
Absolutely! but still like the fact that we can see such a cute picture! even if it’s not awkward!
