I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of these comments! References to my grandmother as Sybil and the Exorcist (awesome) and references to me as Suri Cruise or one woman is certain that I am her daughter…
This very awkward photo was taken in 1987 when I was 3 years old. My grandmother was having a photo shoot of herself (why??) and she decided to have me jump in for one photo. The result? This gem of a photo.

  3. Likodemus says:

If you ever wanted a picture that screams “Remember Mommy Loves you, Child….but don’t get Mommy Angry OR you will be sorry” I think it will be impossible to find another that does it more than this one.

Photographer: “Ma’am, with this package you can have a face ghosted…”

Lady: “I don’t know, I didn’t plan to spend a lot on the portrait.”

Photographer: “Oh, did I mention it was free?”

    Lady: “Hmmmmm……”

OMG I remember when the floating head pics were popular!! My mom had a few family pics like that taken of us when we were little!!! And the two poses in one school pics… like you had a thought bubble of yourself. Hilarious!

  10. Laura says:

She looks like Kath from the Australian version of “Kath and Kim”!

  18. achja says:

Couldn’t stop laughing. Mr. Cooper’s explanation was spot on!

  19. Chad Cooper says:

I like how the floating head is about 25 percent larger… to make clear it’s importance/dominance over heads attached to bodies.

  20. Delia says:

It reminds me of one of those late 19th “spirit photos” that show a person and then the “ghost” of a loved one hovering overhead (Google to see examples). It’s as if grandma’s twin sister is back … to check on her great-niece!

  21. mary says:

    This rules!

Just amazing. One of my all time favorite things I’ve ever seen.
