Size Doesn’t Matter

This man did not WANT to be MacGyver, he believed he’s WAS MacGyver…
I really hope this picture wasn’t taken by a *professional* photographer, who should know not to include decorations that reflect light like that.
What?!?!? No ‘young Ron Swanson’ comments?
I thought it was him…
Susie!!! Your prom date’s here.
Did he bring a delicious bass?
L-O-V-E!!
Mr. Rowsdower briefly taught shop in Milwaukee before moving back to Saskatchewan.
haha – I’m from Saskatchewan. So true. You could throw a rock in any direction and hit a guy dressed like this.
MacGyver’s retirement definitely was not going as planned… or was it?!?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr……
Well, at least he’s clean.
This would make a wonderful album cover or calendar shot!
Don’t tell me you all didn’t know that a hunting vest is the menswear equivelent of the ‘little black dress’? Dress it up or dress it down. Here is a fine example of how to dress it up. Just had business shirt, tie and trousers and voila! You too can go from the hunting field to wedding guest!
lol!
Cracking up – Just like here. The piece that goes anywhere
yes fishing vest, my dad wears these daily. I always wondered why until I picked one up to move it one day and realized how heavy it was. It dawned on me that it was a man purse in disguise.
bahaha He can wear it for any occasion! see Donna’s comment above.
Did anybody look beyond the rest of the akwardness to see the legs of the lighting stands in the lower corners?
oooh awkward! or maybe this was the “proof” and not the ‘finished’ photo (ie photo would edit equipment stands out when he got paid more??)??
The hunting vest = the little black dress of mens attire. This is how you dress it up for the more formal affair.
Ah, makes a niece* proud, huh?
*niece = me
Deer in headlights.
I KNEW there was something familiar about that expression.
Bachelor Three, come out from the wings!
Clearly this is the annual Elk’s lodge fall hunting ball. Note the autumn leaves, the first hint of snow, the deer in the headlights stare……
WWWWWOW. I needn’t say more.
I think he included the icicles and the leaf garlands to coordinate with the vest. You know, “outdoorsy”. Either way, he is fabulous!
Glad the formal tie with the informal vest did not catch on as a fashion trend
Women are drawn to the rugged outdoors type! I can just see him whipping out dating props … bottle of Mad Dog, flowers, candles, matches, condoms …
It’s a dual use outfit. You can spend the day in middle management, then fly fish at your favorite stream after work.
Also, notice the collar on the vest, it looks like a “Members Only” jacket turned into a vest. I’ve never seen a vest like that with a collar.
Zip-off sleeves.
What a natural pose, one leg slightly in front of the other with a slightly bent knee. One hand in pocket with the other hanging every so carefully… just trying to focus on the positives here.
Yes! I immediately noticed his awesome pose.
Posture IS very strange…
Why yes my favorite drummer is Rock Allen from Def Leppard…
whats he’s gots in all those poceketsess?
ROFL!! Nice one.
awesome
LOVE LOVE IT!! BEST AFP Quote EVER!
Hahahahahaha!!!!!!!
THe pocketsess are full of awesome.
Cutting him off at the feet just adds that extra special bit of awkwardness!
It was so much more important to fit in the blue/silver icicles dangling above his head to really frame him in!
It must be the guy from the Christmas photo before this pic. Years later, he tries to make his own fashion statement but, after his wife dressed him for so long, he just wasn’t sure how to do it…
I thought the same thing!
I totally had a first date with a guy who wore a vest just like this! There was no second date….
NO!!! REALLY?? (I love sarcasm)
Your loss, April! Guys with awesome fashion sense like this don’t come along every day.
looks like a fishing vest to me
That is a test shot.
I agree. That is a photographer’s vest if I’ve ever seen one.
I concur. It did take me a few moments of complete bewilderment to realize what was happening here.
He’s the photographer and that vest holds lenses, caps, film, etc. He’s got a sense of humor, too, uploading the image of himself. God bless ‘im.
Could the vest actually be a vest worn by a photographer and THIS guy was the photographer that decided to take a “practice” shot of himself?
Eh, I got nothing.
Gods, I hope so. It really does look like one of those vests designed for holding all your extra lenses.
I believe you are exactly right. He’s the photog and that’s a test shot. He’s got every lens cap, filter, and film type ever made in those pockets!
That is what I think.
HEY! My eyes are up here!
A chaperone at a high school dance? …Wearing a hunting vest. Nice hip pop and one knee bend.
Owner of a flyfishing store had to chaperone a school dance?
The super high-waisted pants and the right hand in the pocket definitely make this photo extra awkward.
I was thinking that if any piece of this outfit were any other color, it would have provided all the pizzaz a guy could hope for from his clothes.
…and so were we.
Where o’ where do we start. Thank you for sharing Brian. This is priceless.
The vest…….!!! What is that, the Bait and Tackle Gala??? XD
I personally love that he was all dressed in shirt and tie and then decided to go back and add a hunting vest.
Wow … Dude looks mega-relaxed amidst all that pomp and circumstance. Obviously very comfortable in his own skin. Perhaps he’s accustomed to dealing with the paparazzi. In any event …. nothing more “hubba hubba” than a confident guy! Wink-wink!
Okay, whose bright idea was it to put up both glittery “autumn leaves” and sparkly “winter icicles” at the same time? Even without the slightly clueless expression on the guy’s face, this photo would be awkward just from the decorations alone.
Maybe it was the “Four Seasons Ball”? *grasping at straws*
No doubt that “spring” (glittery pink flowers) and “summer” (light-up green leaves) are what we can’t see from the cut off portion at the bottom.
thank you! Everyone has been so focused on the vest but I can’t get past the absolutely horrible decorations!! I couldn’t even make out that they were autumn leaves. My HS dances had better picture props in rural KY!
Fishing vest.. interesting choice..
I was thinking photographer’s vest… and that perhaps he’s the photographer.
The light-stand legs MAKE this shot! Fantastic.
I love the Mullstache
