Wait…all this time, and not one — not even *one* — Max Headroom gag? Because to me, they look like poor little refugee orphans from that alternate universe.
Well, because these are kids, it’s only an amusing photo. To be truly awkward, it would need adults in those glasses standing in front of the geometry bulletin board set-up, and looking thrilled with it. THAT’S a photo I’d really want to see.
Nothing says the 80′s like bold colors and geometric shapes. I hope they held on to those totally trippindicular shades because they are totally awesome, and for some odd reason, back in style.
I remember that my ex-husband had a white car with bright geometric shapes added on…it was the latest and greatest 80′s thing. I thought his car was so cool.

I had a Trapper Keeper that looked just like the background.

Devo-spawn!
Mmmm hmmm, well one thing I gotta give ‘em – the concept is really well thought out.
Ahh… The future ain’t what it used to be…
original shutter shades
These kids are probably in their 30s now. Maybe their parents have been forgiven? As they said back then, “NOT!”
I need one of each of those glasses. Yesterday!
The future’s so brightly pastel colored, I gotta wear shades.
hehe…cute
All was well and good till the tank from Battlezone squished those poor kids.
DEVO 2.0 was really really bad.
Q: Are we not children? A: We are DE-VO!
There is so much awesomeness in this photo that some one needs to open a window to let some of it out!
So true!!!
She blinded me with science!
NIIICE!!! hahaha!!!
Haha! My exact first thoughts too

really with you on that….
I love that they color-coordinated with the geometric shapes in the background. Haha. So awkward.
Yup! I’m loving that too!!!
That is most awesome.
That is the coolest family photo, EVER!!!!
We are Devo.
Win!!
I love the 80s view of the future. Everyone will wear turtlenecks and crazy sunglasses and there will be giant shapes lurking in the distance…
Yes!! I believed it was coming, as soon as we dispensed with the eternally annoying collars and buttons on clothing.
There’ll be spandex jackets… One for everyone… What a beautiful world it will be!
Perfect weather for a streamlined world….
What is up with Turtle Necks in the future, you would think we would move as a society and culture forward….into comfort.
Or maybe everyones necks get realy gross messed up after the 1st apocolyps, like the atomic melting of necks

…in party stores, for costumes!!
This is awesome!!! Clearly mom and dad were Devo fans….or Kanye fans (white glasses).
Yo immagonnaletyoufinish but…
Just do me a favor and keep writing such tecrnhant analyses, OK?
