But you should hear him tap.

If you think this is cool, you should have heard the message they recorded on their answering machine! 10-4
OK … so somethin tells me our christmas cards will soon look like this one… minus the poor soul in front row with his “JAZZ” shoes strung over his shoulder like he just got done dancing “Whiskey In A Jar”…
Need a note to self… are you n drew comin in for Thanksgiving???
The tap dancer is the family bad-boy rebel.
Private Pyle on the far left, then.
This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine…
Kubrick would be proud.
I was looking at this and thought “i’ve seen this before…”
Just realized this is my parents neighbors’ extended family lol
“QUICK TO THE INSTRUMENT CLOSET!…EVERYONE, GRAB ONE!”
“QUICK TO THE INSTRUMENT CLOSET!…EVERYONE GRAB ONE!”
Reminds me of Happy Feet..
Yep, this is my boss, and his family.
So, dude in front plays the shoe?
Ha Ha! Brilliant! I didn’t even notice the shoe at first.
The family that plays together, stays together. 🙂
I think this is cool!
He is the peDcussionist
Cool centre-partings boys
Maybe he’s into ‘sole’ music.
I used to play the baritone like the girl in this picture (and the trombone). Once in awhile I ask friends if they would like me to do a solo for their weddings and so on. Oddly, no one has taken me up on it.
HA! I played the baritone AND tuba in high school. During late night parties, by tipsy parents would get me up to play oom.pah.pah while the other besotted adults attempted polka dances sans lederhosen.
Every family has a rebel. Some are more rebellious than others but in a world of polka music, dancing to show tunes is about as rebellious as you can get!
I cannot believe the WHITE accordion went without comment here so far. All that’s missing is a recorder and jazz hands.
Love it! This family rocks (literally and figuratively)! Some of my favorite people.
“One of these things is not like the others. One of these things just doesn’t belong…..”
They’re all there for him!
The guitarist looks like Draco Malfoy!
LOL That was my first thought too!
That is hysterical! So true.
I was thinking the exact same! He’s the cool one…he has a guitar….
I was thinking the EXACT same thing! I looked at the comments just to see if anyone noticed too
he must be a jazz dancer. groovy.
Actually, in Celtic music (and maybe in other kinds, too) clogging shoes are used as a percussion instrument. So give the kid some credit–this might actually make sense.
That’s how I’ve always looked at it. Tap dancing/clogging are both dance and music to me, so I see nothing wrong with or awkward about him not having instruments closer to the ones other members of his family play.
There’s nothing awkward here, people.
Great! “Lady of Spain” rolling around in my head for next four hours…..
Who put Draco Malfoy on guitar?
that was exactly my thought!!
He could always start up a Tilly and the Wall tribute band.
Doesn’t that kid just have a shoe horn?
I guess the kid in the front plays the shoes.
OMG I know these people!
There are so many questions that can come from this beloved picture of my family. But the most important question may be why?
The loudest thing in this picture is the drummer’s haircut.
Aww, how cute, the whole family plays an instrument….oh sorry Jimmy.
