Y’all are crazy if you think they actually were the ones who set the set up! This was taken on a cruise ship… you walk up, they tell you how to stand/sit and you get your picture taken! Big Deal!! It’s a lovely photo and the ambiance is nice! It’s not like you were the one with the stones to take the picture yourself so get over it!!
Reminds me of Ghostbusters were Bill Murray goes tinkle-tinkle on the high notes to frighten off the ghosts… “they hate this”. Looks like it didn’t work on the vampires for this guy though.
It’s awkward because real pianists don’t rest their thumbs on high G’s and A’s or play from the corner of the piano. It’s cheesy because most people don’t attach corsages to champagne glasses. And it’s unnatural because that background looks like it was pried off the original set of Gone With The Wind.
Looks like a bouquet of roses to me and that wouldn’t be unnatural. You put the glasses behind it. The piano player would have to be on an angle to get his picture taken with the ladies.

I don’t always play the piano…but when I do I make sure I do it in an unnatural position while my wife and daughter look on adoringly.
