The Mad Hatters - Siblings

Just because we agree to wear it doesn’t mean we’re going to be happy about it.

Wonder how many M & M’s they had to use to bribe them just to put the darned caps on!

PS… when I was 7-8(in the early ’60’s) we went to a family friend’s wedding at a Cath. church. At the time, females had to wear head coverings; at church. But at the reception, my mom still made me wear it our of respect even tho we weren’t Catholic The hat in question was “UG-LEE” &didn’t fit right. I HATED it. But what I hated more than looking like a dork, was that other kids thought it was dorky too….as in 3-4″why are you wearing that funny looking hat?” questions. I recall convienently forgetting it, then losing it.; but my mom kept at it. No therapy required tho! LOL! I think it’s true that in many cases, kids DO know when they are sticking out; what fits in, what doesn’t. They don’t know the bigger picture, but by 7-8 they know what ISN’T cool.

Bless their hearts… they knew without doubt that this photo was to adorn the walls of their home forever and a day.

With the child on the right, what happened with his haircut? It looks like it was only half done.

    Awkward in *so* many ways
