Size Doesn’t Matter

Wow!! Look at that furniture! and the turntable! and the tree! and Grandpa’s skinny tie! The mid-fifties to early 60s here. Reminds me of pictures of my parents as young adults.
Love how the little girl is cradling her dolly!
The boy is wearing some sort of tartan shorts dungaree outfit. We didn’t have those in my 1970s, fortunately.
This looks more like the 60s, although my 3 year old self only had solid colored shortalls. That said, my 70′s included some unfortunate plaid pants before I knew better.
Also this is probably more benign than it looks, the boy’s posture indicates that he is taking a running jump over a stationary leg, rather than being tripped. I certainly would have done that as a kid.
There’s a Christmas tree in the background and he’s wearing a Christmas outfit, either shorts/vest or overalls. Looks like he was sitting with his sister and has just climbed down to get to whatever else has caught his interest. Cute picture.
