A tradition as old as Thanksgiving itself.

Obviously it’s been years since this pic was taken, so I’m sure everything was alright, but it makes me REALLY nervous to see that baby in a pan that isn’t completely securely on the counter; the back end is hanging over the edge! It’s an adorably awkward photo op, but the baby pan should have been pushed further onto the counter.
Has anyone seen Tom?
The infant’s and turkey’s legs match. That’s what makes this photo so funny. That and the hairless skin. Turkeys, raw or roasted, are intrinsically funny. Trussed, bald and clueless as it waits its fate in the roasting pan.
not to mention HEADLESS
That little punkin would be better off in a pie shell.
the picture itself has a date of “Nov 22, 2007″ in the lower right.
That baby is going to fall off the counter! it definitely looks safer for the turkey.
Happy Thanksgiving from Hannibal Lector. This meal goes great with fava beans and a nice Chianti.
I must be getting warped in my old age…. I really laughed out loud at your comment Newton!
Glad you liked it Liz!
Anyone else alarmed that the pans are not completely on the counter? Besides the fact of raw turkey juice sprinkled all over the place!
This picture gives me a very uncomfortable feeling that isn’t awkardness.
I couldn’t agree more!
Me too – uncomfortable with the baby in the cooking pan near a turkey.
Yes, more disturbing than anything.
