When Deer Attack

“A family road trip through Jasper National Park, circa 1981, a fantastic photo opportunity arises. Several deer are grazing at the side of the road. There are many motorists who have also stopped to embrace the opportunity. My mother, little sister and I approach a deer and as my father sets up the shot with a 3-2-1 countdown on his state of the art manual camera, it appears the deer has an ulterior motive. My toddler sister gets the worst of it and we are caught off guard and shocked!  After the photo was taken my father put his camera down and chased the deer until he literally kicked it in its malicious deer butt. No more than a bruised chin to the resilient toddler but to this day, my lil sister doesn’t think it’s as funny as the rest of us.”
