Strike a Pose

“My pets are my children. I have a dog named Jack and two cats named Lola and Pennie. All three are best friends and hate being apart from one another. This picture is of Pennie. I was questioning her choice of sitting position because it wasn’t exactly flattering her figure. After laughing at her for a couple minutes, I grabbed the camera and snapped a few photos. In this photo she  let it all hang out and I thought this is perfect for awkward family photos!”

Reindeer Games

“Yes…This is my family! Christmas 2010. Dad’s eyes are shut…I think he is saying, “maybe if I close my eyes this will all go away!!!” The boyfriends were very good sports!!!!”

Lap Dog

“This is a picture of our 140 pound dog Duncan sitting on my wife whom is 6 months pregnant in the picture.   We’re waiting to break the news to him that he’s not a Chihuahua.”

Cattitude

“A few awkward things about this photo:

1. The cat’s name was Chicken.
2. The cat is even in the photo.
3. We were told to look serious, but my younger sister just looks pissed.
4. My brother looks like that in every picture, even today.
5. I thought my glasses were “groovy.”

In The White Room

“This is my family, Maybe 1998. My sister won a coupon for a free portrait. Nobody wanted to use it, but it was about to expire so we did.”

Cow Tripping

“My mom was in love with cows for a few years. She was sooo in love that she bought black and white spotted wallpaper and covered everything in the kitchen that could possibly be covered. When that was not enough she went out and bought this cow fabric and had outfits made for everyone including the dog. I am the oldest kid in the picture…and I remember every moment of this awkward day.”
