Mom & Dad

Breaking Point

“We shelled out to stay at this lovely lakeside resort in McCall, Idaho. The hope was to capture a scenic and memorable photo in front of the lake for our annual holiday/Christmas card. ‘Memorable’ is what we ended up with, as the ‘twouchebag’ (I say that in the most loving way) had a full on meltdown because his (a-hole) parents dared to suggest he recite a standard, ‘cheeeeeeze’ for the photo opp.”

“My parents went to an ugly sweater party tonight, and my mom decided to get a little creative with my dad’s ugly sweater. I was on the phone with her while they were getting ready and she kept yelling at my Dad to be careful with the snowman’s penis.”

Here’s the closeup you knew you wanted:

Side Eyes

Thirtysomething

“I don’t know what’s more awkward–how much I look like a boy, my Mom’s giant glasses, or Dad’s hideous sweater.”

‘Tis The Season For Creativity

“Every year I force my kids to take a non-traditional holiday photo. Thankfully my husband, who is a photographer, goes along with my crazy ideas. We are originally from California and just moved to Texas, so this year’s photo had to represent that.”
