Window Watchers
“While I was having a photo shoot, my mother decided it would be totally acceptable to have the photographer take photos of her and my brother creepin’ through the weird window in this photo. As you can tell, I was pissed and didn’t want to have anything to do with this picture. This picture has been making me, family and friends laugh since 1995! Thanks Madre!”

The Third Wheel
“My oldest daughter, with the giant bow, holding my niece. While my youngest daughter sits alone and sad in the background. Somehow my sister and I thought this photo was good enough to purchase. And distribute to family members.”

The Tale Of Two Brothers
“Family vacation at Deerfield Beach, Florida. My man is the one in the Speedo, the muscle guy is his brother.”

Cut The Corduroy
“That’s me in brown wide wake corduroy pants with a suit jacket. Brother is on my lap with grandfather and parents looking on intently. Guess they were afraid I was going to drop him or they couldn’t get over my fashion statement.”

Tiger Twins
“I’m not sure what’s more awkward. The matching tiger print overalls my grandmother made us…or the expressions on my grandma and cousin’s face from all of my protesting over these photos. This is the best we got.”

Scouts Honor
“My brother and I got our pictures taken in our classy boy scout uniforms. The photographer asked us to look to our right, expecting us to turn our heads and look right. My brother and I kept looking forward and only moved our eyes, assuming that was what he meant. The awkwardness in the photo explains how confused we were by his direction.”

Lapbrother
“The fact that my sister is superimposed as a giant ghostly head distracts from the more disturbing details– like the fact that I am sitting on my older brother’s lap and holding hands with him, and that we also have matching glasses. I don’t remember a lot about the day that we took this photo, but I do remember thinking that my brown striped sweater was my ‘cool’ sweater and I insisted on wearing it. The fact that my collar had a longer wingspan than a bald eagle is a nice finishing touch.”
