“When people tell me ‘I wish I had as many siblings as you,’ I show them this picture. I’m Dave, the kid running in this photo. Thought you’d like more info: I’m one of 6 kids. We are from Maryland. The 3 kids in the background are Max, Cara, and Phil. This photo was taken around 1989 or so. Scenes like this were pretty common growing up.”

Left Out
“This is (obviously) the last day of pre-school for my oldest. We do a first day picture and a last day. Pictures are always torturous for my boys but for some reason my youngest was convinced he needed to be in the picture. I wouldn’t let him outside so that I could snap it quickly and take him to school. The outcome was EPIC!”

Go to The Light
“So back in the day, my grandparents decided they needed professional photos of us grandkids. We went to some department store photo shoot place and they put us in a variety of unnatural poses while we all wore uncomfortable sweaters and smiled in ways we never have before. For this particular photo, the photographer told us to look up at this lightbulb. My brother and I thought, “uhh…okay?” So then the photographer prompted us to look up into the light as if we were in awe. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be God we were looking at or Santa or an alien abduction, but we could not get over how uncomfortable this photo shoot was with our whole family watching.”

Achy Breaky Hearts
“My mom thought it would be neat to wear swimsuits. Let me tell you– it was pretty darn awkward walking into an Olan Mills in swimwear along with the Achy Breaky hairstyles. Fortunately, enough time has passed that I can look back at this now and laugh.”
