Down To Clown
“None of us remember this. It must be have traumatizing for all of us.”

The “It” Factor
“Found this one in the family photo album. Think I now understand why my cousin hates clowns so much.”

Clown Recreation
“I recreated this awkward photo last year. The original is from about 1988. I must have gotten into my sister’s make-up and tried to look like a clown. As punishment she tickled me and took this delightfully awkward photo.”

The Saddest Clowns
“It was my younger sisters birthday. No one remembers why we were subjected to the sad clown makeup, the baggy clothes, the fake chest hair and why our parents were so cheap they resorted to using skin space in lieu of a real card. WTF?”

The “It” Factor
“I found these while going through old photo albums this weekend. Halloween 1979, I was a canvas for my older sister’s creativity. And clearly, I was thrilled about it. And yes, clowns freak me out 37 years later!”

1998: A Clown Odyssey
“I am in this photo on the right-hand side, dressed as the ‘sad’ clown. My dad (in the middle) used to do clown shows for kids’ birthday parties so he had this ‘wonderful’ idea to dress us all as clowns and take a family photo. The doll on my step-mom’s lap is to represent my unborn brother who was still ‘in the oven’ at the time.
The part I remember most about this was walking around all day dressed as a clown. We went to several different photo places before finally getting the pics done, if I remember correctly, but I don’t recall why. I just remember going to different places that day and everyone was staring at us!”
