Children Of The Corn
“I grew up on a farm in rural South Dakota, and my parents took this photo of me (left) and my brother and sister during the 1990 harvest. I was full of nervous tics back then, puffing my cheeks out and tugging at my already-too small shorts. This past weekend was the 25-year anniversary of that photo, and it was a rare occasion where the whole family was together. My brother, sister, and I stood in about the same place on the farm to recreate this gem, with me wearing my mother’s tank top and dad’s swimming trunks.”

Three Men And A Baby
“My younger sister and brother joined me to recreate a photo from 1988, the year my brother was born. My younger brother is around 250 pounds today, but that didn’t stop him from climbing atop my sister’s lap with a bottle in mouth.”

Recreating The Awkwardness
“My sister, cousin, and I grew up together and our parents were always taking pictures of us doing weird stuff. We have no idea why my cousin is in the scary clown make-up, who did it, or why she is just holding that apple. The hardest part of the re-creation was my sister – who is obviously no longer a baby. She wore a flesh-colored spandex suit and an adult diaper. She couldn’t get her feet up by her face though, so we cropped out most of her body.”

The Safe Way
“We asked Safeway to make a Star Wars cake for our editor Frank. This is what they gave us.”

Rain Check
After an 18 month engagement we finally celebrated our wedding day, albeit in rainy conditions. Our photographer suggested a shot with umbrellas and told our bridesmaids and groomsmen to act as if they were talking amongst themselves. Eoin clearly did not buy in to this and was unable to hide his displeasure. Instead of making an excuse or apologising for his grimace, when asked about this photo he replied with the following “the guy on the right can’t have said something that funny and some of the bridesmaids clearly aren’t talking to anyone at all”. We’re so glad that Eoin was a part of our special day.
