Clown Life

“My dad worked as a manager for Jack & The Box. I do not know why my parents decided to take this a step further and both dress as Jack & The Box clowns. Maybe it was Halloween, maybe it was a thing to do, maybe one too many beers that day. I just remember feeling SOOO proud of them and you can see it on my face!”

Red Stripe

“This is my family circa 1994. We heard ‘Where’s Waldo?’ so many times. All us kids were so embarrassed to wear these, but my dad made us wear them whenever we were in public!”

5 + 2

“My 7th birthday – apparently, my mom couldn’t be bothered to find a ‘7’ candle for my cake, so she used the leftover ‘5’ and ‘2’ from my sister’s and brother’s cakes! It was so much fun doing math for my birthday.”

The Parade Route

“I made a route map for my neighborhood golf cart parade… good ole family fun right?! Didnt even notice until after it was emailed… to the entire neighborhood. Legitimately- have always heard our neighborhood has a lot of swingers… now I know how they all knew where to move!”

The Donkey Dilemma

“My mother booked a photoshoot because she wanted special pictures of us three children with a cute donkey. But whatever she tried my little brother would not go near the donkey let alone sit on it. My sister and I obviously had fun watching her endeavors.”

Permania

“I rocked the Wilson Phillips short bowl haircut for awhile, but that wasn’t enough to express myself. So, I permed it. This is my third grade school picture. I have no idea why there are fireworks.”

Clown Town

“Chicago, 1982. The year my parents learned I was afraid of clowns. And whatever that thing is behind me.”
