So funny, I just found out I know these people and YES the baby does eventually get the EXACT same glasses. They wore out in high school though … but the best part is, that baby is 18 NOW. So, this wasn’t even the 80s.
Whoa, that makes this photo kinda sad, because I know in the early ’90s they were making better glasses than these, and they were even for sale at those discount glsases stores that sold glasses for 2 pairs for $70. I know because I wore prescription glasses from when I was 4 to when I was 24 (by which point I got LASIK) and at first I had to wear glasses like the kind the boys are wearing, but by the late ’80s it seems glasses started getting stylish. Anyway, I hope at least one of those kids has also gotten LASIK too. Or at least better glasses.

How ironic that a eyeglass world ad pops up right underneath!! They should’ve put ridiculously large glasses on the baby just for the photo.

Back then, there weren’t very many different styles of glasses. This is probably all there was.
