Love the bracelet. Charmed, I’m sure…

  2. EmmaKate says:

I think it’s funny how the guy looks totally modern, while the women look like they are from the 1950s or so. Also, the creepy woman’s right (lower) arm…I hope that’s just a weird camera angle or something

  3. Sarah says:

“It’s Nightmare on Elm Street freaky.” xD

  4. Boo says:

Someone’s going to end up in the crawlspace….

  5. Mel says:

I find that the shadow across the face of the woman on the left, the way it falls in line precisely with the back of the sofa, gives her face an almost transparent look to it, adding quite a bit to the creepiness of the photo…

  6. AggieLou says:

Look at the blouse of the woman on the left…that’s what I call a compound bow.

  7. Mo says:

    marneys family…post thanksgiving dinner

  8. Alyssa says:

i don’t think this is scary at all

  9. me says:

    RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Jean says:

I think that Mom and Dad and the photographer are about to be sent to the cornfield. “You are a bad man/woman. A very bad man/woman!

  11. VoldemortWearsPrada says:

    O_o !

Those things behind them aren’t their shadows either – they’re trails of ectoplasm.

  12. ox says:

I so want to know the story behind this picture…

  13. Mary says:

    I think this was photoshopped.

  14. lorie l says:

I thought “Twlight Zone” before I even saw the title. I can’t get this image out of my mind. Creepy!

  15. Lacie says:

    Im very scared!!!!

  16. D-Mo says:

    Ed Wood’s family photo.

  17. KatieMB says:

Marnie? I swear I’ll use the regulation size casserole next Thanksgiving! I promise!!!

  18. Maya B says:

It says “holiday pic”…what holiday? On what planet?

  19. doggiekittymama says:

Very, very wierd. The woman on the left is very odd. The angle and shadows give it a very menacing feel. They look like pod people evaluating the photographer for their next body snatch.

  20. Stu Padazzo says:

…and just WHAT holiday is it???

(perhaps the fingerprints on the right will lend a clue?)

  21. Insanewiches says:

It’s creepy. It’s like “Leave It To Beaver ” on The Twilight Zone.

  22. Nyla says:

    My soul has been stolen!!

  23. amyville_in_az says:

It looks like lampshades are optional in Pleasantville…

  24. APRIL says:

does anyone else recognize these girls? these are the twins from THE SHINING……”Come play with us Danny!”

  25. wannabeerbad says:

The guy…what is in his hand? You can see it in the foreground…was he about to club the photographer with the green family rotary phone?

    • EmmaKate says:

no, I’m pretty sure that’s the woman’s hand; it is just coming right at the camera so the depth perception makes it look shortened

  26. Joanne says:

the shadow is really creepy-as are the hairstyles on the women!

  27. Amice says:

Even the poorly-spaced photos behind them have a creepy air about them–they all seem to be shots focused on the cavernous maws of fireplaces.

  28. Amice says:

My soul feels empty. As empty as . . . as empty as that 18 feet of blank white wall!

  29. Melba says:

Are those pictures of mine shafts on the walls?

  30. Nicola says:

    … wow.

  31. Michelle says:

You know what I can’t figure out? What is wrong with the middle lady’s left arm? is it all short with a man’s hand?

and who the hell know’s where the man’s right arm is.

I’m can’t look at the women on the left. she looks like my grandmother, who is CRAZY MEAN.

  32. libby says:

I’m pretty sure the one on the left is one of the children of the damned who managed to escape!

  33. Em says:

    oh. dear. god.

this was actually meant to be a solo portrait of the man at the back… the others only showed up post development.

he probably should have got out of that house earlier

  34. Heather says:

Does the woman on the left even have real arms??

    • modcenturygal says:

Thank you Heather!!! The first thing I noticed was that the lady on the left has some type of flattened right arm with no hand…Maybe THAT is what is taking the picture! This looks like a Diane Arbus photo!!

  35. Shannon says:

I hear a scary musical score coming on….. a womans voice, moaning, singing with a sad and troublesome voice.

  36. Lilith says:

The awkward camera angle makes me think the photographer is lying on the coffee table with a knife sticking out of his chest, probably.

  37. catcon says:

Why do I sense a dungeon in the basement?

  38. AC says:

    Hitchcock directed their family gatherings…

  39. Don says:

I’m surprised nobody commented on the shadow on the wall. Definately someone is shooting a compound bow!

  40. bluenosedwowser says:

They’ve just sent the photographer into the cornfield….

  41. wannabeerbad says:

Really, The scariest thing about this photo is the way the pictures are hung in the background.

  42. KatieMB says:

Hee! I LOVE IT! Scarier than awkward. The woman on left seems to be saying, “Take the damned picture already, Frank!!!” I wouldn’t want to be Frank.

  43. laughing_hard says:

Their shadows are all to the right of them on the wall. On the very left, there is another shadow. Maybe the other person actually wasn’t freaky, so they couldn’t be in the picture.

  44. Elizabeth says:

I see dead people…they’re right behind me!

  45. Brandon says:

    Awesome picture!

  46. Cincoflex says:

I’m waiting for Rod Serling to begin talking about the signpost up ahead–

  47. Lily says:

    I see dead people.

  48. Abby says:

Brains!! Ve Vant to eat your brains!!

  49. kingmonkey says:

I suppose if I had a living room with a 12ft. ceiling, I’d want to show it off, too.

Either that, or the girl on the left is using her mind powers to warp our perception.

    • laughing_hard says:

True that! I just don’t get why there is four pictures as close to eachother as they can be, but nothing for the other 5 feet… =P

      • Ideafix says:

So many scary things: 4 shadows but only 3 people, the shadow of the woman in the middle has a hole in the middle of the head (?), and none of the photographs in the wall seem to have any people in there (and all of them have a huge black door/fireplace/cave/hole or whatever that thing is… And the woman on the left won’t stop staring at you…

        • Lisa says:

          Hilarious.

Yes, it does appear to be somekind of hole (portal to hell?) in the background pictures. Very disturbing..

      • Penny says:

Now I am laughing so hard…it hurts.

  50. Kelly says:

    This is disturbing.

  51. Cross bow says:

The two on the right are the morticians and the one on the left is their best body they have dressed to date…. the photograph is part of their portfolio. However, once they have prepared the body they have supper with it, take it to the mall, and wheel it around the supermarket….. you know one last hoorah before pushing up daisies 6-feet below.

If it was a cowboy they’d prop him up beside the jukebox, fill his boots up with sand, and put a cold drink in his hand.
