  1. Tim says:

Two years after the break-up, Stacy was determined to prove to Todd she’d never leave him.

  2. Holly says:

The pic was photo shopped to show the before and after.

  3. Pamela says:

Does anyone see the guys hand on her back? it definitely looks like the “date’s” been photoshopped in! it looks like 2 hands on her back!!!!

  4. sluttsville says:

Sweet, so Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie attended high school together.

  5. Beanwan says:

    Yeah – sorry, photoshopped….

  6. Sheri says:

Maybe the girl in blue and the young man are Siamese twins……

    • cowgirl says:

Glen and Glenda,(the worlds first functioning siamese twins) went to prom with Tina. A fun time was had by all.

  7. Lori says:

nothing wrong with a chaperone at your prom haha

  8. oh hai! says:

Is it my computer or does the dudes other hand look exactly like the 3rd wheels?

    • MB says:

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Definetly siblings. Same hands.

    • Gourd says:

Same smile, too. I see the taller ones as sibling and the younger one is brother’s date.
Family/prom photo all in one! Great gift for mom!

  9. Melissa says:

Marnie’s prom picture- she’s the one on the left… forgot her date, but remembered both a serving spoon and a lid!

  10. Lily says:

It looks like the girls are sisters. Ew.

  11. BroadwayBohemia says:

    This is totally me.

    On numerous occasions.

    It’s pathetic being being fifteen.

  12. doggiekittymama says:

You can go to Prom in groups now-a date is no longer mandatory. I think that is how it should be. Maybe she went alone and they are all friends?

  13. Amanda says:

I think the little date looks like Hermoine Granger.

  14. Bastet11 says:

Possible photo-shop aside, the girl on the left and the guy look very similar..perhaps they are brother and sister and the parents wanted a pic of them all for some ungodly reason..it could happen…

  15. Awkward Turtle says:

What is the obsession with determining if a pic is Photoshopped? Who cares?

  16. Sean says:

This *almost* happened to me once, my date didn’t want to be in a photo with another couple and I had agreed already, so I was standing in line with them and decided, “you know…….. I’m out.”

  17. alicia says:

It looks like lefty’s in her PJs…

  18. Jake says:

Not photoshopped. Homeboys arms are pretty long, and the dates waist is skinny. Obviously the 3rd wheel and the “groom” are related, same nose and smile. Nothing here is compelling enough to photoshop, not to mention this would win an award for matching blacks, blurs, skin tones, and lighting. I agree that people should just take it at face value and laugh at it, it gets annoying to debunk theses things.

  19. glasstabletop says:

the photographer’s assistant decided to jump in after much cajoling by the others who already had their photo taken. “Oh, what the heck, there aren’t enough props in there anyway…”

  20. Rich says:

Can the “deep thinkers” on this site who claim everything is Photoshopped come up with SOMETHING more intelligent??

Like ….. Duh!! ….. Who cares!

  21. Tocsnai says:

The relationships aren’t that awkward, here. Most of the conventions that lead people to *think* they are, *those* are the real source of queasy awkward stomachs.

Our A-number-one, top-prize awkward trait here is in fact the young man’s hair. Yes, what happens when one’s tousled hairstyle needs to be made somehow more formal? Why, one gels the heck out of the thing! ‘Chad’ appears to be wearing the Statue of Liberty’s crown.

  22. Danielle says:

Nobody has mentioned the wizard robe! She looks like a Hogwarts student!

  23. Dawn says:

So…if she was going to the prom, even with a couple….why is she dressed in her jammies? and a cloak?

  24. Baron says:

    Heck I don’t know…3 is company…not a crowd

  25. tehshay says:

Did the extra go as Harry Potter?

  26. What in the World? says:

This looks like a picture of a sister, brother, and the brother’s date who’s not so comfortable with the fact they’re getting their prom picture taken with the brother’s sister. That is awkward.

  27. April says:

I truly believe this is a real picture – if it were fake or PS’d, would there be that much free space to the right of the guy with all of that matching back and foreground. Besides, the picture has all 3 of them centered perfectly. The girl is just there with the other 2, let it go

  28. Chrissie says:

This exact situation happened to me… I got asked to prom by my best friend, whose girlfriend later decided that it would be a good idea to go “with” us. Awkward photos of couple + single ensued.

Worst. Prom. EVER. (Of course, this wasn’t all that made it bad…)

  29. doodahman900 says:

For the “big picture”, refer to the following postings:

“Awkward Solo Photo: Roman Shade” on 7/12/09

    and

    “The Sterns” on 7/16/09

    Wow.

  30. doodahman900 says:

Correction: I meant “Meet The Sterns” on 7/16/09

  31. Jill says:

So nice that Zach Morris, Jessie Spano and Kelly Kapowski could have a nice prom together.

  32. Stunned says:

The one in the cape must be his twin sister. Note the facial resemblance. Poor kid.

  33. lorie l says:

    THE STORY OF MY LIFE!

  34. Lucy says:

I think what we have here is a classic case of,”You can go to the prom unless your older sister goes to,and I want a photo for proof!”

  35. Pamela says:

I’m thinking that the girl on the left is boy’s sister, sent along to chaperone the couple. This was a common practice with the very Christian families in my hometown. Their children would only be able to attend functions like this so long as another sibling went to make sure that nothing improper happened to them. A good friend of mine accompanied one of her younger sisters, and the sister’s date, to several formal dances.

  36. Brian says:

The tall girl is the guys sister, thats my guess.

  37. Blucat says:

Actually, the “3rd Wheel’s” outfit looks exactly like what the girls were forced to wear at my Christian high school on chapel days once a week.

  38. shezcrafti says:

    The couple summoned a Wizard.

  39. Alekx says:

    THE BEST.

  40. cadsam says:

And this was our chaparone… Harriet Potter.

  41. julesss917 says:

The girl in the harry potter cape and the boy are brother and sister… when the brother first got a myspace he cropped in the girl so he wouldn’t be made fun of… except most of the people on this page aren’t thinking about the 2 girls they are thinking about his lack of photoshop skill.

  42. danielle12345 says:

i think that the girl on the left is photoshopped in…its just the girl on the right years later they look the same!!!

  43. Melissa says:

Is the girl on the left wearing a cape, pajamas, and flipflops? Cause that’s what I wore to prom…

  44. mc says:

“legend, the legend! the third wheel legend! always in the way!”

  45. Carol says:

I think he brought along an extra, just in case.
