Never underestimate Grandma.

This was taken at Knott’s Berry Farm in a shop called the Picture Gallery. My older sister worked there as a photographer for several years. There was not a hole cutout for your head, but rather 2 separate paintings with a little “walkway” between them. That’s why the heads “fit” so well. You simply placed your chin/neck in the groove, and the background was another painting. My mom and dad had this same picture taken- in fact the man in the picture even looks a bit like my dad. We had many different pictures taken there in various settings- all with a western theme.
My grandparents had their picture taken with this same cutout!! I don’t know what freaks me out more…coming across this in my grandmother’s picture album and spending endless hours staring at it and trying to figure it out OR coming across it again here and reliving that memory.
Interesting to know it was at Knott’s Berry Farm. I think their photo did coincide with a trip to California.
Interesting blast from the past!!..and awkward as heck!
I swear to god that looks like my grandma’s head.
OMG This freaked me out!! My Grandparents have the EXACT same pic and I always thought it was horrifying! LOL
Its NOT fake….and its NOT a hole cut-out…its just something you stand behind and lean your head on! haha
Just noticed what Min wrote….I too think my Grandparents had it taken in SoCal during a visit!
