There is nothing more adorable than a baby pile-on.
(submitted by Sienna)
I think this reminds of Anne Gidion and Celine BEAUTIFUL and precious!!!!!
I do think there should have been an arm or a hand at least…other wise, it’s kinda cute.
It all started as a wart on he cheek.
This beautiful women in this photo with the babies is my sister. Their is nothing AWKWARD about it. It is one of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen.
And it’s on this site because…?
It’s here cause I think it’s terribly awkward and I’m the big headed mom! But thanks sis. I was the one who submitted it…
But there is something awkward about your use of the word “their” when it should be “there”
When you just can’t fluff up one baby enough, why not use two ?
Ok, what makes this awkward is the absence of the mom’s “loving arms”… like someone said, just lay your head there as if you are completely unattached to the babies but want to make it look like you are attached…
“He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother…”
…plus the head of my mothuh….
this pose is classic lifetouch; target portraits or jcpenney. i think awkward retail photography, preferably in a mall; is my all time fave. AWKWARD.
AWW, they are cute. I love mocking people. But those babies are just CUTE. And the mom is lovely too.
Definitely won’t be trying this pose out with my boys when they are born. Yes, they may be spending several months naked and in close quarters in me, but to put them on top of each other naked out… No thanks!
Okay, it might be awkward, but consider what it would look like if Mom were on the bottom and they were piled on her head like little opossums.
I actually snorted a little!
It’s kind of awkward, but it’s babies and dang it, babies are just cute. But as others mentioned, I’d be really worried about those diaperless butts!
This is NOT cute. Babies are cute, yes, but this pose is AWKWARD.
Yeah I agree that the poor little one in the middle is kinda getting his/her head smushed but omg is this absolutely ADORABLE!!!!
Mooooom!! It’s a game of leapfrog and you’re blocking me from gettin over!!
it’s too bad Octo-mom didn’t try to do this pose
HA X 8!
AHAHAHAHAHA. Peed a little at that one.
it would have looked like dominoes!
Tower of cards…with babies?
I think it’s cute! Just hope the photographer took the picture fast before one of these little cuties used the props as a diaper!
in 12 years they’ll all be perched on a tree branch.
Cute babies, but their itty bitty size make her head look SO big (almost disproportionate) and that makes it seem awkward to me.
What’s the most awkward about this is that the lady is not the mom. Just some random stranger in the hospital. Mom was still recovering after the birth.
Babies do make the best pillows.
I wonder if after this photo they tried to put the babies on the armshelf position…
…I think this is a baby shelf position?
maybe they tried a head wheel next
Not awkward to me…just sweet.
Naw, this one’s not awkward. I’d totally snuggle into my newborns like this. It’s cute as can be.
I actually think this is beautiful. What adorable babies!
the look on the face of the baby on the bottom says it all
Baby sez: ‘SCUSE ME. WUT IS GOIN’ ON HEER?
(Because babies speak LOLcat.)
you have to give credit to the woman… for someone who had been in labor 2 hours before this picture was taken she looks terrific! LOOK AT THE PERFECT HAIRDO!!
It’s all fun and games until you’re covered in baby’s bodily fluids.
That’s exactly what I was thinking:)
I dont care about the awkward pose. Those babies are cute!
I just keep thinking those little babies cannot support the weight of her head.
Right on. Bottom guy looks a little concerned about the matter.
This is a really cute pose with one baby, it doesn’t work so well with two.
agreed–they look kinda piled up.
Aww, I *love* this! I agree the pose is a bit awkward (hurry up & get diapers on those babies) but the photo is precious.
What makes it awkward for me is how the mother is made up– I find the juxtaposition of tiny, shrivelly, newborn babies and a mom who’s got her hair and makeup done and her jewelry on to be kind of weird. Not that moms aren’t allowed to get done up– it’s just a stark contrast when the babies are about as natural as anything can possibly be.
I feel the same way.
I completely agree. Mostly because I love the word juxtaposition.
Aww, I think this one is adorable!
No answers showing.Where are you afterbirth? You’re a natural for this photo!
Ahahahahaha. i love you.
No thanks…they always get stuck between my teeth!
aww not awkward, precious, look at the itty bitty babies!
Mom’s face reveals that she too may be on the fence about this particularly awkward pose.
Exactly! She looks like she’s trying really hard not to actually lean on them.
Looks like they rushed the babies to the photo studio directly from the hospital. They look like they were born just a few days before this photo was taken!
Just a comment about the size of the babies, keep in mind that the twins were probably born early and weighed less than an average newborn.
My daughter was a micropreemie–she only weighed 6 pounds when she was 4 months old!
I still think this is an awkward pose!
My niece is a micropreemie too. She was 1 lb, 8 oz at birth – She is now 13 months and is only 11 lbs!
Doesn’t look that awkward to me, personally. Unless awkward means something else elsewhere.
I love this pic! Make’s my miss my little girl when she was this little *sigh*. She’ll be 1 in Oct.
Poor thing you. A healthy one year old girl. Yeah, that’s rough.
we all have our cross to bear…
althoug I usually don’t like “Pile-On” photos… I think this one is not awkward but really cute…
Soon to be the denim pile-on, when they grow up.
If the babies are naked, why isn’t she? i mean srsly u guyZ…
i agree with u
This is actually cute.
It’s just too bad those babies aren’t wearing jeans!
Don’t forget the denim top.
Aw, nothing says cutesy like a pile of babies.
Thanks for that! I am gonna see how many times I can use the phrase “pile of babies” today!
Awwww – reminds me of how tiny new puppies stack together… except for Mom, who might have a heavy head
