You’re never too old to learn.

They got outfits for this pic.
But his pants are on…
Maybe they’re on because there’s not much to see?? lol
The first myspace bathroom pic!
Not funny! I have a 4 year old that refuses to be potty-trained! This does NOT give me hope!
Oh Joyful… there is always hope! If it’s a boy, float a cheerio in the bowl and tell him to aim for it… Boy or girl, bribe with sticker charts, gummy bears, or my personal favorite, bubbles. Especially because they are four, and old enough to blow them themselves. You can set the bubbles aside, and blow them yourself after YOU go to the bathroom. Don’t let your four year old touch them, “I get to blow bubbles because I go to the bathroom in the toilet.” I hope that helps. Or is entertaining to anyone else reading this.
I LOVE the varying expressions here, especially the girl in red on the left.
Good ideas, Spazmatazz! I am potty training my 2.5-YO son and I never thought AFP would be the place to find helpful potty training advice. LOL!! Just shows how much this dang site is a part of my life now…
Boys seem to be more difficult to potty train. My daughter was potty trained around 1 1/2 (yes, really, as in she went herself, not when I told her to go)…And that was because she wanted ruffly “rumba” undies…(the type with tons of lace on the back side). I told her I would not buy her any until she was potty trained, then two days later, never an accident again, even at night!
My boys on the other hand were nightmares. Well, the 2 oldest were…They had issues way past toddler years, and divorce and the ex telling them it was funny to wet did not help issues. My 3rd boy wasn’t so bad though. He was trained just over 2, but again, he wanted cool underwear (which didn’t work with his older brothers).
So that is what Erik Estrada did before CHIPs.
The first thing I did after I clicked the comments was did a find for ‘Estrada’ and whaddayaknow…
I can’t even begin to think of an explanation for this.
Celebrating that Dad finally put the seat down.
If that’s the real backstory, that’s adorable.
TOOOOOO funny! I bet he had just installed the thing. Very classic 70′s wear!
This is just wrong on so many levels.
…and he is so proud!
“No, Dad! You need to remember to put the lid UP!”
A young George Clooney?
Erik Estrada’s brother just KNEW back in 1979 that there would someday be a home for a family picture like this.
That is probably one of the most awkward pictures I have ever seen…..look at the way they are looking down!! 0.om Especially the two older girls…
They’re so proud!!
This is clearly staged.
The only thing I don’t get is how these people knew 30 years ago that they should pose for a website that would be built years later on the internets so we could enjoy their odd behavior.
I love this photo, but I have two questions:
A) Why is the lid up on the toilet?
B) Why is daughter offering dad the soap?
I won’t go into why is this photo being taken in the bathroom, and why is everybody looking so surprised while dad is looking so pleased with himself.
George was never one to be caught with his pants down.
Merry Christmas from Flushings!!!
yes, definitely awkward. And what’s he concealing behind his left arm that has all the girls in a tizzy?
Jeez, at least sit ON THE LID, and not directly on the seat! Ewww!!!
seriously, I love this picture, my dad is a plumber and we have some pic”s of us like this
ha! these guys are awesome! i bet they are a cool family.
Aw, they look so proud of him!
I must know the story behind this.
Now that’s awkward.
Why did I immediately think of the Osmonds?
Bob, Janie, and kids were so excited to have indoor plumbing… The excitement was more than Bob could contain…
Excitement or excrement?
My father that SAME outfit!
*had* that same outfit.
The joys of FINALLY getting indoor plumbing!
oh my god…. is that George Clooney??????
First? I’m not sure if this was intended for hilarity or not…but I thoroughly enjoy the Wallabees/Wallabies (damn it) he’s rocking.
wow, this is about the most awkward picture I have ever seen.
This is just so many levels of not right…
I love it that Dad looks so darn proud of himself!
Everybody poops. Not everybody turns it into a spectator sport.
The family that poos together, stays together.
I don’t get it… were the kids amazed that he was now potty trained, or the fact that he was able to sit there with a smile on his face, fully clothed while having his picture taken by the Olan Mills team?
Man Cave, circa 1972
OMG – is that George Clooney?!
I feel like this has a lot more to do with the fact that he is sitting down to do his business (as opposed to standing), and their are 5 women standing in the room.
Wow…I would REALLY like to know the backstory on this one!!! Tres, care to explain?
No Natty….. No, I really don’t think we want to know!
Backstory, or backflow??
I’m just grateful it wasn’t submitted by ‘Deuce’
There are no words. Except words of gratitude that nothing was photoshopped into the picture as a “focal point”.
WTH??? What are they supposed to be looking at anyway?
What the #$@# is THAT?????? OMG, possibly the funniest photo yet.
New toilet same old …..
Looks like the family struggle over seat up or seat down has been settled – majority rules!
