I thought maybe this was four daughters and their husbands (since the four women look somewhat alike, and the men definitelt don’t), but I don’t see any wedding rings on anyone (at least on the people whose left hands we can see). The men don’t resemble each other or the women at all, so it doesn’t look like they are related. Then again maybe they are a family but some or all of the kids are adopted or something?
Or perhaps Olan Mills just dragged eight random people in for a picture. What is with the weird arm grab of the two women in the middle? The guy on the bottom right has a righteous mullet!
I think the lady on the far-left has a ring on he right hand, she could be engaged to the man above her. Doesnt explain everyone else though…no one looks a like o.o
Did we really dress and look that way? And here I thought the nightmares were over. The guy with the black tie with his white pants and yellow shirt…it really does something for him…. I’m trying to figure out what it does…
Maybe they ARE coworkers. It seems to make sense. The women don’t really look like sisters and the guys don’t look related either. Plus you have Big Boy in the back row doing the “concerned managerial head tilt”. Scary as it is, I think I know the girl in the red sweater.
I think they are adult siblings or co-workers. My dad comes from a big family and on the rare occasion when everyone is together we will do whole group shots, grandkid shots, just the original siblings, siblings and their spouses, etc. This photo doesn’t seem awkward to me. yes, bad hair, but glancing back through my high school yearbook, it’s hard to find anyone in the 80’s who didn’t have bad hair!
After a lot of studying, I think this is 4 adult brothers with their families. Two brothers in the back row have wives, but no kids. Front and center are brother with his wife and their teenage daughter seated awkwardly in the middle (on their laps?) Youngest brother on the front right is still single or possibly gay (actually, he reminded me a little of my own brother in the ’80s!)
I also think the girl in the red sweater looks very familiar. And love the pee pee dance comment!

They had not quite perfected the “dangling-toy attention grabber” technique back in the 80s.
awesome!
What are they looking at?
People PLEEEZE!!!
This is the group photo of the first speed dating get together of 1985.
Huh?? Well, that would explain away a lot of questions.
Now THAT is funny!
“OK, you people who are normally required to dress up for work, stand in the back row, and let’s get the others in the front row.”
As the song goes…*it was acceptable in the 80s, the 80s….*

They get points for all actually looking in the same direction…
Wow. Just… wow. *scrubs at eyeballs*
awkward stats: 11/16 of the eyes are looking to the right, while 5/16 are trained straight ahead.
It took me a minute but the eyeball fraction thing had me laughing out loud!
ditto!!! That’s just awful!
HAHAHAHAHA
I just noticed the women in the front nestled in the guys crotch, hopefully there dating and not co-workers.
Is that Hall or Oats??
WIN
Now THAT’S funny, I don’t care who you are!!!! So damn funny!!!!

If this is a picture of 4 sisters and their husbands all I have to say is “Wow, that family hit the son-in-law jackpot with these four.”
Son-in-law jackpot! Ouch! But hilarious.
lol-I’m speechless
And to think this lovely Olan Mills is probably copyrighted…yep, wouldn’t want THIS quality product stolen!!!
You there! Where is your mustache?
I swear, that looks like my aunt in the red shirt. If it’s her, I’ll find out what’s up with the picture.

HOLY COW! I have some old Olan Mills portraits too where they did all weird head tilts. They were suppose to be this GREAT studio!
Just saw this site…I’m going to have to add one of my kids later. Anyway, I love the pee pee dance pose on the left side.
totally pee-pee dance!

Looks like a picture of the first AOL meet & greet party participants I saw a long time ago.
Wow, this looks like a group photo of my old office job at IBM. I was the guy taking the picture.
notice how this has been tacked to a bulletin board for quite a while.
(see upper right corner)
ha ha ha! pee pee dance!! gotta love the 80’s
What makes it even better is that the picture was hung on the wall with 4 thumbtacks and reinforced with tape!

I think you are right!
I like Frank Zappa on the bottom right!
Eight is Enough all grown up.
HAIR!
A lot of these people look very familiar? Albany, OR? If so, none of them are related, must be coworkers.
I’m from Albany, OR and I believe the guy in back with glasses is an old friend of my borther’s. His name was Mike and passed away a few years ago.
