There’s not a straight-shooter in the family.
(submitted by Kelly)
First thing I thought is “Is this from an episode of Quantum Leap?” The dad looks like Scott Bacula.
I’m digging the kid in the Bing Crosby blazer to the far left.
Are We Not Men???
this was the first and LAST time the photographer used a REAL bird when he said, “watch the birdie…”
the girl in paisley put herself into a trance while staring at her own dress for too long.
the girl in pink intentionally put her dress on backwards.
The husband has certainly aged better (or just looks better) than the wife!
lalalala………….SQUIRREL ! !!! !
Listening to Aunt Marnie giving the Thanksgiving blessing. That’s Amy Misto in pink.
This reminds me of an elementary school picture I saw where just as the picture was being taken, someone came into the room. Most of the class immediately looked that direction. Everyone here has the same “What the…?” look as those kids.
OMG…I laughed so hard at your comment that lemonade come out my nose… Thank you so much. It was brillant!.
I do what I can,sir, I do what I can.
I like that the boys all have Justin Bieber haircuts.
This family looks just like the people from “The Ligher Side of…” by Dave Berg in MAD Magazine in the 70′s.
They all look so…vigilant. Like they’re watching the skies for Soviet bombers or something.
I got distracted by the bow.
Steven Douglas’ “other” family across town.
Perhaps they are all looking at a piece of art created by the girl in pink, each reacting in a different way, the creator obviously pleased with the effect her work has on her family.
They look like kittens when you line them all up and they stare at the same stuff.
That’s exactly what I was thinking…. I’m picturing someone wiggling a little mouse on a string right before the picture was taken.
Ewwww….what’s that smell?
She is obviously proud of her ‘Dorothy Hamel’ – mine never came out quite right…
I don’t think Dorothy Hamel was even born when this photo was taken.
Mom must never get out of the house, she sure could use a bit of sun.
I’m guessing that she is a June Cleaver type and is always doing house work.
This picture would have been awesome if only one person was looking at the camera.
Daughter on the far right seems to be sneaking a glance at the camera.
Okay, I laughed just thinking of that! Good one.
I think there is a rebel in pink who ignored the ridiculous commands of the photographer.
I have been so beiwdelerd in the past but now it all makes sense!
Dang-looks like an alien invasion!
What a tale could be told just from looking at the three ladies dresses……………..
Not to mention the hair-dos
Or hair-don’ts, as the case may be.
My mom loved the “looking to the left”photo. I dont have a picture of the front of my face pre 1986 and then all you can see is my hair
They’re looking to the right.
Their right, the photographer’s left.
My parents and siblings died from eating tainted cocktail weiners while I was singing with Up With People in Baltimore. I found an excellent taxidermist and had my family stuffed and posed in the rumpus room. I enjoyed having them around and posing with them for family portraits. Eventually, I had to sell the house and and leave them, as they would not fit into my VW Bug.
I think the girl in pink is a ventriloquist and is throwing her voice to the other side of the photo studio. “One of your daughters hangs around with a hippie instead of going to the library after school!”
That’s about right!
Ahh the 60′s..perhaps the Bieber saw big bro and ran with the look
By “big bro” do you mean “dad”?
Look! A squirrel!
They had the same photographer as Michelle Bachmann.
I was thinking the same thing!!!
“I don’t want you to see me this way…”
I keep hearing Edwina from Raising Arizona- “Turn to the RIGHT!”
We are DEVO (pre-flower pot era)
Oh please, oh please let Kelly be the girl in pink.
Sorry, that’s my Aunt Linda. My dad is the dapper fellow in the red jacket.
Half of them look like there’s something truly appalling happening over there!
The two young boys look scared!
Yeah, whatever they are witnessing, I don’t want to see……
the girl in pink is sneeking a peek at the camera.
I kind of want to take this on photoshop and put a lenseflare at the top left corner, like they’re all looking at the sun majestically setting…
The girl on the end is tryin’ to get there, though.
You can definitely tell that girl in the pink on the right is the rebel in the family…and whatever it is that they’re looking at, the two boys on the left look terrified.
Yeah, she’s also the only one smiling. Definitely the rebel!
The first and last time a professional photographer kept a TV while shooting in the studio.
“Yes,he’s past first base…and now second….WOW,third. He’s trying for the home run!!! It’s going to be tight folks. Ahhhh…..”
But why is Clark Kent (rear, second R) looking too? Now’s his chance to slip into the telephone booth since everyone else is distracted.
I kinda, strangely, want to know what’s happening on that side of the room?
Grandma’s doing a strip-tease…
It’s a bird….it’s a plane….it’s Superman!
The girl in the pink isn’t falling for it.
