Size Doesn’t Matter

I saw this documentary on the telly last week and I did feel a bit sorry for the daughter, who seemed to be (s)mothered by her over protective mum. Georgia (the daughter) is incredibly grounded for a 16yr old, given her mum’s “eccentricities”. The programme ended with Georgia being allowed out on a date for the first time.
You mean, it’s like a real life version of “Absolutely Fabulous”?
Life imitating art, it seems!! My sympathies to Georgia…
The babies name,apparently,is Papaya !!!!!
“I envy my school chums, they get bullied because of what “they” do….”
The woman in the back is Alicia Duvall, a British glamour model who is now more known for her hundreds of plastic surgeries. The teenager is her daughter who she had at 16, and she is holding Alicia’s new baby girl. They’ve had a couple of one-off documentaries in the UK on BBC3, which is basically talking about how Alicia is still all about the surgery and fame game whereas her daughter Georgia is focused on her education and disapproves of her mother’s career and lifestyle. The latest documentary which just aired showed Alicia giving birth to the new baby and Georgia having to do a lot of the care for her new sister.
Mystery = solved. Sorry America, we aren’t proud.
Oh yea, submitted by Alicia in the UK. Got it now.
Of course it’d be the mom who submitted it!
Oh, I think America has MANY more TV shows to be embarrased by, Louise.
Yeah, that is only the embarrassment equivalent of 10 minutes of jersey shore.
I like the couch.
I am so confused when I look at this picture. I don’t even know whats going on. I can tell that the woman in red is the girls mom and the girl in the floor is the mom of the baby. But she does not look happy. Can someone please give us the back story on this.

The model’s name is Alicia Douvall, not ‘Duvall’ as I originally wrote. I repeat, the baby is hers, not her teenage daughter’s. I recommend doing a internet search for ‘Glamour Model Mum, Baby and Me’ and reading the reviews for how the family dynamic plays out.
Why?
It IS a photo publicising a BBC3 documentary aired either tonight or last night, called ‘Glamour Model Mum, Baby and Me’. The baby belongs to the lady in red, a model called Alicia Duvall – I notice the photo was submitted by an ‘Alicia’ – and the girl holding the child is her 16 year old daughter who is a remarkably well-grounded young person. This photo has been in TV listings magazines / websites recently here in the UK. The documentary is a follow-up to a previous one called ‘Glamour Model Mum and Me’. Hope this answers a few questions.
Wow, that’s impressive because the actresses really look like they’re related!
Documentary = film dipicting reality rather than fiction. They are related.
Um…they ARE related. It’s a documentary so they are actual people and not actresses!
They don’t look even remotely related. I think she was being facetious .
Is that Amanda Lepore?
Methinks Photoshop is involved here…
“Really mom?! REALLY?!”
LOL! This looks like an advertisement for a warped reality TV show on teen moms living with their “housewife of (any big city name here)” mother.
I’m really trying to come up with an explanation for this picture. I got nothing.
But if the woman in red is the other girl’s Mom… WOW !
That looks like it could be a promotional picture for a British documentary. In fact are AFP sure that it’s not? It easily looks like something that would be on BBC3 or Channel 4.
What the hell is happening here?
I really wish we had the background on this one.
What is going on here? Why does this look like a photo from some sort of pamphlet that would be handed out in high school to warn of the pitfalls of teenage pregnancy? Is that supposed to be the grandma on the couch? Mommy doesn’t look very happy.
You’re right, it should definitely be on a pregnancy pamphlet!
There’s so many wrongs with this picture I don’t even know where to begin..
The story behind? Please!
This is shocking! I’d love to know the story behind it.
I’m wondering if this meant to be a before and after shot? Before having a baby, all glamour and smiles, and afterwards it is cardigans and frowns.
Wonder why someone is a teenage mom?! Never saw a 3 generation picture like this!
It’s not a 3-generation-picture. The woman in red is both of the children’s mother.
Can you explain this picture?
