Hell yeah. Raise ‘em up right, Grandma!
grandma get your gun…lol
Is that a Obama/Biden sticker on the butt stock?
You’ll shoot your eye out, kid.
It’s a Mattel M-16 Marauder toy gun from the 1960′s, probably from before the orange barrel was required.
Don’t worry, it’s not loaded.
By law toy guns must have the barrel end bright orange. I see no color on the end of this gun.
I would guess that it is real. The younger they learn proper gun safety the better.
I want my regulation size casserole dish back….NOW!
Best comment on the page.
Excellent! Thanksgiving goes MY WAY this year!
Its a toy, unless it is chambered in some sort of massive round. Also nothing wrong with boys playing with toy guns. A lot better than boys playing first person shooter video games and never actually learning how to safely operate a firearm.
Pretty funny. I saw that too Alec. Unless our friends at Colt have partnered with Barrett and managed to chamber an AR in .50 cal I’m pretty sure it’s a squirt gun and it’s got a water reservoir that looks like a big magazine. My son had one similar about 15 years ago. Greatest squirt gun EVER. Regardless…a .50 cal AR?! Where do I sign up?
The recoil on that would be awful! Cassie…its not real.
What gun? All I can see is a sweater. And wood panelling.
looks real to me. 223 caliber M4,M16, or AR 15
NRA granny…
That was exactly my first thought, hah!
Gotta be a toy gun, but I thought all newer toy guns had to have an orange barrel. The photo is fairly recent… maybe just the toy is old.
This is so cute, they both look so happy, and yes GMa had the best toys:)
That is what I think is so awkward about this photo. That Nana is so proud of her boy–grandson–that she’s smiling. And let’s just hope this is a toy and not the real thing.
