Hiding Quiche

“My boss never likes me sneaking my poodle, ‘Quiche,’ into the store.  He often drops by unannounced and we sometimes have to get creative.  Yes, she is well trained.”

A Fail Is Born

“We were obviously failing at Pinterest before Pinterest was even around. This picture is from 1989 and unfortunately seems to depict me, the oldest daughter, ‘birthing’ half the family while our mom is still making her way to the top of the steps.  We have no recollection of who took this picture or what look we were really going for, but obviously no photographer could salvage this ‘pose,’ and no inspiration is a good inspiration when it turns out like this.

Our family refers to our childhood favorites like TV shows and movies ‘PFFs,’ or Privett Family Faves, so it’s only right that this be called a Privett Family Fail.”

Merry Force Be With You

“My Christmas card this year. I’m Captain Phasma and my dog is Chewbacca. No, the helmet is not photoshopped; I actually own it along with the cape.”

Busted Santa

“My dad took this photo with his ex-wife and stepdaughter, thinking it would be funny and cute to showcase a naughty Santa getting arrested. I don’t think he realized though, just how naughty it seemed when he sent it off as a greeting card to family and friends.”

Meowy Christmas 4

“We are really serious cat people and decided this would be a hilarious way to celebrate the holidays. Our ‘Baby Jesus’ was not happy about it and growled as she was being wrapped in swaddling clothes. But that’s the price you pay for great art!”

VC Andrews Novel Comes to Life

“My mother did a glamour photo shoot for my father as a Christmas gift one year and took me along for the ride. I will never forget this day and I am curious as to what really went through my father’s head when he received the portfolio of pictures this day produced. This is one of the better ones.”

They See Me Rollin’

“A couple of years ago my daughter had surgery on both of her legs over Christmas break. Tired of being cooped up in the house she decided last minute she wanted to go to a Christmas party with her church youth group. We scrambled for ideas for the costume competition and settled on her being a ballerina from The Nutcracker (her sister went as a nutcracker). This was taken midway through the party when I’m pretty sure she was exhausted and maybe the pain meds started wearing off.  Either way, her friends decided to make her a bit more festive and this is the end result.”

Christmas Blues

“This is me with Santa in 1975. I can’t tell who is more unhappy, me or him.”

A Case Of Holiday Nerves

“My 4 year old son Jack had been asking to meet Santa. However, when we got to the mall he confessed he was nervous. When it was our turn he really didn’t want to at all, if you can’t tell.”
