The Spirit Of ’93
“My sister hired a photographer to take our family picture all dressed up in our red, white and blue in 1993. Our Dad, pictured in the white shoes, was very patriotic and my sisters and I are as well. It all made sense at the time but now we can laugh and call this picture one of our most awkward family photos! Thank you to my sister for always thinking up such wonderful memories for our family!!”

“This is my family’s one and only professionally taken portrait. I remember being so angry my mom made me wear the uniform from my Fife and Drum Marching Band (for which I also had no love). The photo sessions were taken at my grammar school so the entire school was able to partake in my misery. I am smiling though. Somehow.”

“This was one of my senior pictures. The photographer told me to bring some props. I don’t think he expected me to bring my katana. He couldn’t figure out how pose me with it appropriately. Needless to say the school wouldn’t accept this for the yearbook.”

“My cousin was married in June and all the requisite wedding photos were taken. Here the bride and groom had been taking picture after picture (after picture) of themselves kissing, and the bride’s little sister got grossed out. Later my uncle posted on Facebook how hilarious this picture was, as it truly captured the little sister’s feelings!”

“I didn’t know anything about this incident until I got my wedding photos back. My little niece and nephew, who are brother and sister, kissed at the same time my husband and I were told to kiss each other. They don’t remember doing it and are now mortified whenever they see the photo.”
