Bear Hug
“Our father was an avid sportsman. Every summer he would travel deep into Canada with a group of guys to hunt and fish. In 1989 he brought home this black bear and had it turned into a rug. My brother and I were thrown on it for the first classic picture. My father passed away four years later and the rug (along with his other animal mounts) still grace our log cabin living room. I decided to recapture the moment as adults and we gave it to our mother as a Christmas gift. She, along with the rest of the family, got a kick out of it. Some people have asked if we are wearing clothes in the adult picture..we are close as brothers but not that close!”

This Robe
“My parents brought me this house coat (as big as a house) after a trip they went on. I loved that thing. Wore it constantly… which explains my very few friends.”

Merry Christmas, Mom
“My daughter made this at school for me. I believe that the teacher made an epic fail when telling my daughter what words to hold up for the photo.”

The F Word
“Set the camera on self timer to take a family picture. I told every to just be themselves. Baby boy stuck his fingers in his nose, older sister did her thing, and then the five year old held up her middle finger. Had no clue she did that until I was editing them. Asked her what it meant and she said ‘the f word.’ I asked her what the f word was. She whispered fat. I’m pretty sure I heard the hallelujah chorus that that was her ‘f word.'”
Bathroom Selfie
“This is my sister babysitting my son when he was younger. He eventually worked out the clog.”

Smack In The Face
“All my parents wanted was a nice family photo. Of course with my family, it doesn’t ever work out that way.”
