Where Are They Now?

Thanks to Joe Costa for tweeting out this pic… honored to have you in our new book, Born To Be Awkward, and glad to know you can support the weight of your own head these days.

Down The Middle

“It took my mom a good five minutes to realize what was awkward about this photo. My date really wasn’t extremely short. The photographer just decided to position him in between four guys all over six feet tall.”

The Bunny Lady

“I don’t remember taking this picture. I have no idea who this woman is, why she’s dressed like the Easter Bunny, or what she’s thinking to provoke that facial expression. I can only guess that this was some time during my sixth grade year and that it was so embarrassing, I blocked it from mind.”

The Longest Hug

“My brother would tease me all the time, so when mom said, ‘hug your brother’ this is what she got.”

The Nature Of The Beast

“It’s my girlfriend’s birthday today and her mom sent her an Edible Arrangement. Whoever transcribed her mother’s message must have been drunk.”

Born To Be Awkward In Stores Today!

We’re proud to announce the publication of our fourth book, Born to Be Awkward. We want to thank all of the families who so boldy sent in their photos… we say this often, but none of this would be possible without you. This book is truly for everyone– anyone that has a baby, knows a baby, or has been a baby at some point and we’re going to wager that’s most of you. The book highlights all of the awkward moments of babyhood– from trying to support the weight of our own heads to learning to eat, sleep, and take a punch from a sibling. Born To Be Awkward makes the perfect baby shower gift and even better, you could prevent another baby from having to take an awkward photo… but then again, why would you want to do that?

The Mohawk Disagreement

“Dad wanted the mohawk to be worn like a comb over but mom thought it should be worn proud.  Mom was a lot cooler than you would expect.”

Apology Accepted

“Recently our son was required to write his mother a letter expressing his regret for recent behavior.”

The Roach Clip

“I found this picture recently when I was cleaning out some old photo boxes. I think I was in 3rd or 4th grade, which would make it the early 1980s. My parents, obviously having no idea what roach clips were used for, not only let me buy it, but let me go to school with it pinned to my collar on picture day.”
