Harnessing His Power

“In 1991, I was diagnosed with epilepsy. My Father, at the time, was a photographer whose studio was in our home. After a long day of tests and hospital visits, he decided to take this photo of me in my epilepsy test equipment, which is worn over a few days… I still don’t know why he took it, but what you see here is a shirtless, awesome looking ten-year-old boy with acid-washed jeans and perfectly feathered hair.”

Minus Mom

“This is a family photo that was taken back in 2004. My Mom stepped out of frame to take off her glasses at the last second and the photographer (having had no warning that she was going to do so) kept shooting anyway. My Dad, brother, and I all had quite different reactions.”

Splash Mountain

Jordan Alexander was very much looking forward to riding Splash Mountain alongside her husband, Steve, during a recent trip to Disney World. “Splash Mountain is my favorite ride… and he promised me he would go,” Jordan told Inside Edition. But when the time came, Steve just wasn’t feeling up to it. “It had been a long, hot day — we had our baby son with us, as well as [Jordan’s] parents,” Steve told The Huffington Post. “We’d ridden a bunch of rides, but by this time, I was tired, and I didn’t have any more rides in me.” His wife responded by riding solo, taking the sassiest mid-ride photo to express her disappointment. When Jordan got off the ride, she handed the photo to her husband of seven years. “I doubled over with laughter, honestly,” he said. “How could you not? Seeing THAT picture after all that? Amazing.” The photo, posted to Imgur last week, has racked up more than 2.5 million views. “It’s not every day that something that was a private little joke of yours goes out to entertain the world,” Steve told HuffPost of the viral fame. “We’re just glad people like it.”

The Hands Off Approach

“My sister’s date’s epic hovering hand. The awkwardness was thick. Rush fans don’t often get dates to dances, and here it shows.”

Compromising With The Grandson

“This is a photo of my husband’s sweet-as-pie Grandma with her great-grandsons. Grandma is holding one of our sons, and our other son is face down on the floor. He only wanted to be in the picture if he could be like that so no one fought him. Note that he does not let go of his balloon throughout the whole process.”

Broken Wings

“This photo is so 90s, I can’t look directly at it without getting eyestrain. I am 13-14 here, so this is about 1992. The carefully-constructed bird’s wing bangs, the big earrings, the dress-over-a-shirt combo… and this was before I knew how to tame my eyebrows, so there’s that, too. The only thing I can be grateful for is that I was not allowed to wear makeup yet. I can only imagine how that would have turned out.

I did not date at all in high school.”

My Mother’s Blood, Sweat, And Tears

“I think I’m somewhere around 10 in this photo, which would put it somewhere in the mid-80s. This hairstyle is the result of curlers left in overnight and a curling iron in the morning, and a lot of my mother’s blood, sweat, and tears. It is little wonder why I had no friends as a child.”
