Takes The Cake

“My tacky husband just does crazy things, but I never dreamed we would have a photo like this on our wedding day!”

Santa’s Little Helpers

“This is a picture of my family taken in 1981. If you could sum up my family with a picture, this would be it. That’s me crying in my mom’s lap. My brother looks like he’s having a nervous breakdown. My dad isn’t taking anything seriously and my mom looks very tired from having to put up with all of us. And the creepy Santa, well, that’s just a bonus.”

The Longest Yawn

“My high school sweetheart and I were set to get married in June of 1995.  I called that wedding off, then we got re-engaged and planned the wedding for June of 1996.  Two weeks before that wedding I told my mom and my fiance I didn’t want to get married, but this time they would not allow it.  I went through with it, but I was not happy about it.  We had two beautiful children, but the marriage did not last.  We were divorced 8 years later.”

Behind The Awkwardness: The King

“Every Halloween until they’re old enough to say no, my mother makes a historically accurate Elvis costume for each of my sons. This was my middle son Leo’s first Halloween. My husband works for a Fortune 500 company in Memphis who does a fantastic family day every Halloween. They go all out, including “professional” photography. Since Leo was barely 6 months old and couldn’t sit up very well in the heavy costume, the photographer had my husband hold him and said he would crop him out of the final pic. Thankfully, he did not because this epically awkward photo was the result.”

Sister Sister

“I was trying to take a nice sweet picture of my 2 daughters (18 year age difference). And the expressions on their faces could just as easily have been seen today.”
