Vacation

Double Dutch

“On the eve before my grandparents 60th anniversary party this photo was passed around. In 1991 for their anniversary they went to Holland. There is so much going on in the picture that every time you look at it you see something new – and horribly awkward. Don’t miss out on the painted wooded shoes, the tangle of yarn and that white hat.”

Civil Bore

“This is a photo of myself from 1995. That year, we took a family trip to the Civil War reenactment in Gettysburg, PA. This man is General Grant. My father is behind the camera saying, “We’re having fun!” It was probably about 102 degrees out that day and no, I was not having fun.”

*Free* Game Friday

So, we’re kicking off something new here on site to show our appreciation for everyone that comments, likes, and shares our pics. Every Friday, we’ll be giving away a FREE board game to the person who best answers one of the twenty questions from the Awkward Family Photos Board Game. Leave your answers in the comment section below. Winner announced at 6pm PST.

Today’s question is #13 from the game….

So, due to the the Facebook hiccup, we’ve decided to crown two winners… congratulations to Mark & Camille! Your board games are on the way.

“Our daughter had rebellious teen years. Now 26 and a successful young adult, this (and similar) pictures make wonderful blackmail material.”

“My mom, her sisters, and their parents on a vacation in 1972. We still have no idea who the specimen in the background is or what he is doing.”
