A Calendar 2021

The Money Shot

“This is a picture of my older brother, Timmy, circa 1994 (around the time Richie Rich came out in theaters). Everything about this picture screams early nineties. And what makes this photo so great is not the modest pile of dollar bills at his feet. This photo is priceless because my mom calls it, ‘The Money Shot.’ My mom may be the real highlight of the story.”

Bowl Games

“We woke up and looked everywhere for my niece. Here is where we found her, calm as could be.”

Mom Without A Face

“When my mom needed a photo of herself for some documents, she just cut out her head and left the photo like this in our family album.”

The Promotion

“My sister and her boyfriend were so excited to share their announcement. My nephew was…less than impressed.”

Uncle Dick’s Condiment Photobomb

“My stepdaughters and I were in Chicago visiting my brother-in-law, a professional photographer. He would always set up a mini-studio and shoot pics of the family while we would visit. This particular year, it coincided with a BBQ. Uncle Dick, my mother-in-law’s brother, had been carrying items to the table without realizing he was walking thru the background of the set. He had no idea we were taking pics.”

Tooth Swap

“I received this photo from my Dad while he was babysitting my daughter. When she found out Grandpa could take out his teeth, he let her wear them.”

Two Thumbs Up

“My 6 year old daughter drew a picture of me ‘giving two thumbs up.’ Apparently I had gas that day as well.”

Personal Best

“My family posed for this gem in December 1993. I was 10; my brothers were 8 and 13. My mother loved themed portraits and says now in her defense, ‘Track suits were really hot back then. Everyone wore them. People wore them to work.”

Sauced Santa

“I found this photo of my father and an inebriated Santa Claus.”

Santa Got Run Over By A Reindeer

“This picture was taken in about 1952. The boy sitting on the lap of ‘Santa’ is my husband’s cousin, Teddy. ‘Santa’ is ‘Uncle Bob’ who apparently didn’t notice that his mask was melting off. My husband thankfully doesn’t remember any of this. No word if little Teddy ever recovered from the trauma.”
