Fun pic, maximized by one of the best taglines ever.
Tonight on “Blue Note and the Kid” – When a barber shop quartet robs the 3:10 to Yuma they get more then they bargained from passengers Blue note and the Kid. Tonight’s guest stars; Claude Akins as the engineer and Jack Starrett as Shotgun Pete.
Theme music
Just a good ol’ boys
Never allowin’ no harm
Beats all you ever saw
Been enforcin’ the law
Since the day they were born
This looks like it should be a record album cover. It’s a gorgeous picture, though it begs a lot of questions.
I just love this photo. It’s just so…..I don’t know, so awesome, haha.
this picture is full of win
I love this picture. Both these kids are so likeable. What is it about them? The kid with the hat has so much self confidence. And the other kid is at that awkward age and yet he has this inner self reliant look. They must have parents who love them and let them know it often.
best caption ever
Love this!
I’m having some seasonal fun with old family photos over at Holiday Hints from Elf Nita Lou. But with two giant boxes of awkward family photos on hand I may have to take it year ’round too.
This picture just makes me laugh and laugh.
Just keep your hands off the trigger kid.
There’s nothing like a photo of you in your youth in short shorts and long white socks to embarrass you for the rest of your life.
These two grew up to be Sheriff Andy Taylor and Deputy Barney Fife.
The caption is definitely the best part. Which isn’t exactly common for Awkard Family Photos. Ahahaha.
I don’t get the caption. Someone enlighten me please!
my knees look like that now. at 29.
The caption is an epic win! I love that the cowboy has the very tip of his gun stuffed into his pocket, and the extreme socks on the sax player, as well as the dangerous playground equipment in the background.
By FAR the most awkward picture on this site to date. Bravo!
Love, love, love this picture!
Jake and the Sax-man
Bluez-ribbon 2 u!!!
Midnight Cowboy: The Children’s Musical !
I like that improvised holster…through the belt loop and into the pocket. Watch where you point that muzzle!
Love this! That little guy’s swaggering stance & super matchy hat & boots is too much.
“Don’t worry pard. anyone makes fun of your white tube socks again will feel the sting of my trusty rubber band gun.”
I smell a Fox sitcom premise brewing…!
The older brother needed to run track to get away from the little guy, who is armed with a SERIOUS rubber band gun. My Dad made those for my brother and me, and our bullets were cut up inner tubes.
I had a neck-strap like that once, it was ridiculously painful.
I dont know what is funner the expression of the kid with the sax or the kid that has a gun in his pocket
Best caption ever!
Agreed. That caption is full of win.
That’s awesome. Reminds me of my bro and my two boys :^)
I bet this kid and the one who plays the accordian in that dark 1950′s bedroom are cousins…..
They also shared a knack for killing off large patches of grass.
“Okay you lull them into a sense of security with that blowhorn of yours, and then I’ll shoot em when they don’t know it’s comin! Yee-haaa!”
I can see him jumpin’ onto the back of his trusty horse now.
If only there was a stick horse in the photo! LOL
This might be my favorite picture yet. It’s inspiring me to go back and consider my youthful dreams of fighting crime.
What’s that in his pocket?
Quite possibly the best caption ever.
What a team they would make! Like Like Mozart and… Mozart’s younger brother. No! Like Butch Cassidy and… Mozart! Mess with Mozart, and you’re going to have a bullet in your head–courtesy of Butch Cassidy!
I love that the little guy already looks like a worn, middle-aged cowboy. Stance, gut, squint…
LOL, that is exactly what I was thinking! He’s awesome. The whole pic is fantastic!!
I was thinking the same thing! Isn’t he cool? Like a mini-man.
He is not a mini man. That is a regular size man, shrunk down and brought to you by photoshop. (No, I’m not serious about the photoshop. But the reality of it is absolutely surreal).
Oh…that caption for this photo is just priceless!! Good going!
It made me laff out loud..thanks!!
ditto
I’ll go ahead and say it. It looks like the cowboy lost his compound bow and had to settle for the wooden gun instead.
“When Billy told Bobby to bring his axe for the group jam picture Bobby was a little embarrassed when he literally brought his axe and not Lucille, his guitar.”
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Love the caption! The younger brother is so much cooler!
“Looks like it’s over …. before the fat lady sings”
CUE SAX WAIL
chief: you two almost took out an entire city block on your little rampage back there. do you have anything to say for yourselves?
blue note: we got the job done chief
kid: yeah one less maniac running around
chief: the only maniacs i see are you two ….your off the case!
blue note: your off your case chief!
So what does the Kid have in his pocket? At spare canoe paddle for a quick getaway?
It’s a wooden gun, like the kind you’d buy at Stuckey’s
Sax kid: “Back off John Wayne. I already have highwater short shorts and teenage angst to play the blues to.”
This picture is AWESOME!! I love it. But I must differ with the caption, they also have the same ears & nose! I hope The Kid kept that sassy confidence as he got older. Seriously, this picture is great!
brilliant!
Hehehehehheheheheheeh! I love this pic!
~Old Blue note wasn’t so sure if the kid was gonna make it in Jasper County, but once he heard the kid played the brown note… he never worried again. And invested in some soundproof earplugs.~
Natashia! That’s NOT a recorder!
It’s a compound bow.
Wow. They’re like clones. Awesome.
I miss Billy the Kid…
Toby Keith…good song.
Not Toby Keith, Billy Dean.
Ah, the inspiration of young ambition….
