Does the dad have a glass eye? His right eye isn’t reflecting any light, and is looking in a different direction.

  2. Serena Grandi says:

the dad is so hot! beautiful eyes!

  3. kyles says:

so I too think it’s sweet that he’s a proud daddy. the world needs more of those..but why arent people grasping the awkwardness of this photo? they did a nice matchy matchy plaid that..didn’t..match. daddy-o has a creepy pedophile mustache and im honestly shocked no one has mentioned the fact that his eyes arent looking in the same direction…

  4. AbbyB says:

Plaid-ternity Tests on the next Maury Povich!

  5. Buttie says:

This doesn’t belong on the site, it’s not that akward.

  6. vjhr says:

Baby and Daddy in matching plaid, how cute. OH, WAIT…the plaids DON’T match. So close but yet so far.

  7. Pipergirl says:

    Cool, except it’s a girl.

  8. Jeff says:

    Plaid to the bone! Pl-pl-pl-pl-pl-plaid….

  9. esyl says:

Why is the baby’s hair cut in a tonsure? Other than that, it’s a cute photo.

  10. Nivlac says:

    Dad’s a playa!

  11. Michele says:

    mad for plaid!

  12. AndrewT says:

Doesn’t anyone else get a “young Mr Burns” vibe from that kid? The baldness, the hands, you can almost see him thinking “exssscellent!”.

  13. JerseyPam says:

It would be more awkward if they were both wearing onesies.

I am very tired of people debating the awkwardness of each photo. Can’t you just enjoy the photos? Stop visiting this site and whipping the tar out of me with your “photoshop” and “not awkward” comments! And I think the plaid is very awkward–it looks like the dad has a baby head growing out of his neck! And that is the absolute cutest baby I have ever seen!!!!!

    • Ali says:

Why are you commenting and visiting this awkward pictures site if you do NOT enjoy it….Go elsewhere…don’t worry-BE Happy. DUH…

    • really??? says:

I don’t think sjd needs to go elsewhere, Ali.

People who constantly come here just to pick apart the photos and who feel they must post negative, superior comments like ‘not awkward enough’ and ‘photoshopped’ are the ones who continually come to a site they aren’t enjoying! Why come here just to take the fun out of the photos for those of us who just want to come have a laugh?

Why not go find some other site like maybe one called “debate the awkwardness and authenticity of every single God blesses photo” .com……seriously.

I got his point loud and clear.

      • sjd says:

Thank you, really??? for making my point much more eloquently than I did! I wish I had said it that way to begin with. I think I am going to never look at the comments again–I enjoy the site much more that way! (Although I actually do enjoy most of the comments because they almost always point out something I missed in the photos!) Oh, and I am a “she.” Thanks for the backup!

  16. Amy says:

I didn’t know they made plaid shirts that tiny…adorable! But maybe Dad should have gone with something solid! :o)

  17. Ken G. says:

It’s like two heads floating on a sea of plaid.

  18. louise says:

Who dresses a newborn in plaid? That is what is awkward. The picture is nice, but plaid on a newborn?

    • bequi says:

Really?! I thought the baby in plaid was the cutest part! Too many baby boy clothes are covered in dogs, trucks, and sporting equipment. I love it when babies are dressed like little grownups!

    • justme says:

Thanks Louise, I agree. But there is so much else I find awkward about it, Dad is just channeling way too much “intense machismo cool”. I really can’t believe all the people who miss that….

    • Pipergirl says:

There aren’t enough plaid onesies in the world!

  19. Shari says:

I agree this is a cute photo. A father who is willing to wear matching shirts to have his photo taken with a newborn is OK in my book. That’s a lucky little kid!

  20. yam says:

Plaid definitely looks way hotter on baby… oh looky they’ve got matching moustache and baby hair!

  21. cps says:

This is a cute pic. I enjoyed it despite no awkwardness!

  22. Deborah says:

This is so sweet, and look at that lil’ toe head baby! Adorable

  23. noneyas says:

this isnt awkward just a proud daddy holding the sweet lil boy

  24. Alan says:

The baby awoke & dad ‘plaid’ a game with him.

  25. HIllary says:

    EQual parts ridiculous and precious.

  26. Mandie says:

    It’s like plaid camoflage!

  27. steph says:

the baby looks like he is praying……for a different shirt.

  28. emm says:

lets see, are we ready? …. dad? check! baby? check! ….

  29. Nicole says:

What’s not to love? Adorable, I say!

  30. Marit Helene says:

It looks like the dad shaved off some of his moustache and attached it to the sons head. Check: babys ear-area!

  31. Linda says:

oh come on! there’s nothing awkward about this. yeah, i know there’s too much plaid going on, but that’s too cute. did they strip a cabbage patch doll for the baby’s shirt?

  32. jax says:

Oh my. This is SO adorable. Plaid and all. I love it. Not awkward. I hope I’m not the only one who thinks that!

  33. Barry says:

Awww, that is a really cute picture.

  34. Skeemer118 says:

I wish the baby had a mustache. This pic is so awesome!

  35. CB says:

This is adorable. The plaid is not the awkward thing here; the mustache not matching the rest of his hair is awkward. I think it’s sweet that they’re matching.

  36. Lava Girl says:

my eyes hurt, too much plaid, and the gerber life plan came up as my advertisement… very fitting…

  37. Kristin says:

    What’s awkward is his mustache!

  38. Abe says:

Why is this guy holding Terry Bradshaw’s kid?

  39. Cassie says:

Lovely photo. The world would be a better place if more men had strong bonds with their children from birth, as this father seems to have.

  40. Cathy says:

OMG! That plaid baby is adorable!

  41. Teresa says:

Other than the plaid storm going on, this is a nice picture.

  42. Dola says:

I think this is so cute! Not really awkward. Maybe a little strange but cute nonetheless.

  43. Kim says:

I don’t see this as really being awkward. If the kid were p*ssing in his face, now that’s awkward!

  44. daisy says:

Aww, this is cute! Awkward for sure (especially the mustache!), but cute…

  45. cider indian says:

awwwwww! you can almost see where his beard will grow, when he’s older…

  46. rebekah says:

Awwww. This is sweet and only slightly awkward.

  47. Mary says:

I think this is cute! Not awkward at all :o)

  48. JJ says:

I don’t think there is anything awkward about this picture. Daddy looks very proud of his brand new baby boy and the matching plaid is kind of endearing! And btw, that baby is the most precious thing I will see today!!

  49. notawkward says:

what is so awkward about this?!?!?!
so what, they’re both wearing plaid. if it was plain blue, it never would have made it on here.
this site is getting sadly redundant, and is no longer interesting or funny.
