These four puzzle pieces might not always connect, but that doesn’t mean they don’t go together.

I dropped a friend due to their choice of this wallboard.

  2. Michelle says:

OMG…we had that EXACT paneling in our house! It was in our dining room…for YEARS! Actually, I think it’s still there and they just painted it white.

  3. Sunny says:

I thought my family was the only one with that wallpaper! In our case it came in sheets like paneling & is still up in the kitchen. My father also had Harvest Gold appliances & had to search to find replacements when the old ones wore out.

  4. Anna says:

My parents kitchen had this exact wallpaper as well!

  5. Allison says:

We have this EXACT wallpaper in our house (thankfully buried by another layer of wallpaper) all done prior to my buying the property. My home and the others nearby were all pre-fab and my neighbors still have this wallpaper in their kitchen… awful

  6. Blu says:

My mom chose a wallpaper in the house before this one that had vegetables all over it although celery was especially predominant. For the kitchen. In the 70′s & 80′s. It blew my mind that she actually CHOSE it!

  7. Eileen says:

Can you find the 4 family members hidden in this picture?

  8. janneke says:

….Im Related to these lovables goofballs! lol no i seriously am <3

  9. Linda says:

Wow! I submitted this awhile ago, then forgot about it.

I’m the younger daughter. Yes, my sister had a broken wrist, so she had to wear a Ziplock bag over her cast when we went in the pool (because who would miss an opportunity to use the pool?). Yes, the clothes were all made by my mom. My sister and I actually had dresses that matched my dad’s shirt, but fortunately they aren’t in this picture.

In our defense, that isn’t our kitchen. I’m still trying to figure out how my dad managed to shave four inches off of his height.

  10. emcd says:

I think the mother’s dress says “SUN FUN” on it. Add that to the subliminal soup a’brewin here …

  11. molly says:

sweet jesus…my family has the same wallpaper in the kitchen.

  12. ChrisF says:

If you stare at the center of the picture for a minute or two, four human heads will start to emerge……..very eerie!

  13. Sassy says:

I never could make anything out of those Magic Eye pictures.

  14. Chris Borg says:

    I like the dads shirt.

  15. Dave says:

    Love the caption for this.

  16. Emy Kate says:

I am willing to bet all the clothing is homemade…

  17. Pipergirl says:

If you stare long enough you’ll see a sailboat.

  18. Kawiho says:

Oh my gosh – sib and I had very similar walls in our bedroom going up – but it was pre-decorated wallboard – no paper! Ugly as homemade sin – and it’s still in that room today. UGH!

  19. Jeff says:

I think the older girl does have a cast on her arm – and what’s she holding up next to the younger one? The younger one is clearly wishing she wasn’t there.

  20. wendy says:

These people just don’t know what they stand for. Flowers, No! stripes, No! checkerboards, No! Clocks, No! Fishermen, No! Sea gulls, No! Lighthouses, No!Teapots, No…Or, Yes! Or…No!

  21. Marcy Davies says:

I sure laughed at the picture. But it’s you ridiculous people and your ridiculous comments that did me in. Seriously. My stomach hurts from laughing. Some of you guys and your comments make these horrid pictures so worthwhile! Thanks for the laughs.

  22. Carrie says:

my aunt and uncle had that hideous wallpaper in their kitchen at one time

  23. B says:

The only thing that could possibly make that wallpaper work is a framed photo of the Gorton’s fisherman and a seagull wall plaque……..Oh, wait, nope, that didn’t help.

  24. Iti says:

Sending a message in a bottle, any non reading higher being can read this cryptic distress call!

  25. NKL says:

Dad has Texas right over his heart. As it should be. That alone redeems this photo!

  26. Silvia says:

Does Dad’s shirt have maps of states on it? I think I see Texas and California. Hilarious.

  27. HWaters says:

I think I may have had a seizure whilst trying to view this photo.

  28. Lily says:

It’s the wall paper that makes this insane! If they were out by a pool, or somewhere outside, this would be less of a headache!

  29. Be3t says:

Either that wallpaper goes or I do!

  30. JenniferM says:

The younger daughter is so overwhelmed by all those patterns and colors she can’t even keep her eyes open….ouch!

  31. Nicole says:

Individually their powers are weak, but together…. *cue superhero music* Ready to form Mega-Awkward! Activate interlocks! Dyna-therms connected. Infra-cells up; mega-thrusters are go!

  32. HM says:

I tried to color correct this one in Photoshop. My computer exploded.

  33. HM says:

    My eyes are bleeding.

  34. Carol says:

    Oh, my eyes! My eyes!!!

  35. Modine says:

This family was so desperate to avoid a photo that they had to be chased into a corner? No wonder they look like they’re just giving up.

  36. Dawne says:

Wow, we’ve got overwhelmingly busy wallpaper, ghastly clothes that manage to OUTDO the wallpaper, Mom’s stare of death, kid’s got her eyes closed, leotards(?), an arm cast, and a cupcake. It’s an AFP grab bag!

  37. heatherweather says:

Does the oldest daughter have a cast on her arm or is that a sweet glove? The father’s weak attempt at a smile isn’t convincing me…

  38. cc says:

Well, designers do usually recommend you decorate your home to reflect the sort of clothes you like to wear.

    • heatherweather says:

Great profile pic. We love MST3K at our house! My son was singing along with the theme song when he was two:)

  39. Clint says:

  40. Fred Jones says:

The older child looks like the U.S. redneck equivalent to Emma Watson (Hermione Granger).
