I bought the “snug sack” at a thrift store a few years ago and LOVED IT until I had to leave it behind when I moved (I literally took 2 suitcases with me when I moved across the country) I left it with some friends, but this dear old thing kept me warm through many a cold winter night with no heat. I still miss it!
Just came across one of these in a clean out, new in the package. It has a more colorful quilted pattern. Primary colors if I recall. Blue, green, red, and yellow.
So those people are my Grandparents and I was lucky enough to get one of those passed on to me!!! I always take it camping with me and wear it by the fire and ALL my friends are so jealous! Thanks for posting Aunt Cindy!
Wow – I had one just like that! It was about 1981… My grandmother gave it to me, and I remember she got really frustrated when I tried to wash dishes with it on. I didn’t want to wash those dishes and it was my rebellion, lol.
My sister had one of these in the late 70′s. It had snaps on the sides and you could snap them up to make it look like the picture above. It was even the same brown quilt pattern. This site brings back so many memories!

You could make print fabric or wallpaper out of that shot. Something vaguely Japanese about it.

Wow they really like that shade of poop-brown. Popular color back then.
Original hipsters; they had their Snuggies before they were cool.
Makes me glad I grew up in Florida.

My mom had one of these with just this pattern. Just seeing this brings back old memories of snuggling up with my mom. Thanks!

Here we see 2 triumphant hunters who have successfully stalked and killed a sofa and are proudly wearing its skins.

Just What I was thinking!
The very first Snuggie!
The wicker trays stuck to the wall remind me of the beach condo my parents used to own back in the 1980s – might have even been the same couch.
