Back when men wore their trousers high and the ladies liked it.

  2. ejiru_4 says:

oh you got the best grandparents hahahaha

  3. Ellen says:

These two definately need their OWN website! They are hysterical and adorable at the same time! You are very blessed to have them, still! Be sure to let them know they are developing a huge following!

  4. Sylvia says:

Gramps gives the location pretty clearly. “The Star Theatre in Hunt’s Point on Southern Boulevard.” That checks out as an old theater district in the Bronx.

  5. Coralee says:

oh this is amazing i laughed so hard when she said she went to the usher

  6. Marc's Nymph says:

I so love these two. Whoever is related to them is so very lucky. I loved listening to my Grandmothers stories. (Didn’t know my Grandfathers or I know I would have loved theirs too) So since I’m Grandparentless now, can yours adopt me??? LOL xo

  7. Mike says:

Such cute little Grandparents! I could listen to them for hours…

And yes, they remind me of the interviews from “When Harry met Sally” too, but funnier, and more candid! 🙂

  8. Sir says:

i love how he says “i paid 50 cents!” at the end.
hahaha, these two crack me up:)

  9. LS says:

I paid 50 cents! Lol, he is too cute. I love how she had him thrown out of the theater during the date but considered it a funny joke. He still seems a little irritated by it, but maybe he needed that comeuppance at the time.

  10. Shalin says:

OMG OMG OMG OMG this is so funny!

  11. Eric says:

I could listen to them all day! AWESOME!

  12. Laura Moncur says:

I absolutely LOVED this story! I want more stories from people talking about how they met their spouses. It’s AWESOME!

  13. Miffy says:

They are awesome! Love the old pic of them, too!

  14. Julie says:

SO cute! Reminds me a little of how my grandma used to tell the story about her and my grandpa being late for their wedding reception because they had *waited* until they were married and grandpa couldn’t wait anymore. It was never one of those “EEEWWW!” stories because after 62 years of marriage, they were still so in love.

  15. meri says:

Do you grandparents realize how hilarious they are? They are great! She is so funny for getting him kicked out!

  21. Andi from NC says:

She doesn’t take any smack off anybody – this woman is my hero! She stood firm on her principles and got her man!

I love how he slips in there “I probably married her because she was the only one I didn’t get!” Classic!

These two have got to be retiring in Boca!

  22. Wally says:

Awesome! The old fella was definitely a stud! He probably declared that it was worth getting thrown out of the theater. But it makes me wonder what my punishment would have been for some of the things I did when I was “courting”….

  23. Jessica says:

I love them! I think my own familial gatherings would be so much nicer if I was related to them.

My grandparents are EXACTLY like this. In fact, I’m pretty sure they live in the same apartment complex as my grandparents’ in Lake Worth, FLA. In all seriousness, whose grandparents are these and where do they live? Do they know Irving and Sylvia Goldstein? I’m not joking. This is like the Twilight Zone.
